I have been working at Consolidated Precision Products full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Lots of overtime available, overall a good group of employees, diversity in work, company seeks continous improvement. Company is safety oriented.

    Cons

Lack of professionalism sometimes present in lower level management. Us vs them mentality between shifts and departments often present.

    Advice to Management

Keep going with continuous improvement, better communication between shifts could help a lot in some areas. Shift turn overs in some areas could be worked on to get smoother transitioning.

    Pros

Good group of people at this company. Enjoyed working there. There were lots of challenges and lots of successes. Made many friends.

    Cons

Changes in management were too quick and hence learning a new management style in a short period was somewhat challenging. Pros outweigh cons. Enjoyed CPP.

    Advice to Management

Value your employees as they are your best asset. Continue to encourage and provide support where necessary. Even handedness is usually very well received.

I have been working at Consolidated Precision Products full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are a lot of very nice people that you work with. Many times people are willing to help you out when needed without any questions.

    Cons

Work/life balance is horrible. At times you are expected to work 7 mandatory days in a row week after week. Gratitude is not shown. Pay does not compensate the amount of work that you are expected to do.

I worked at Consolidated Precision Products full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good steady work with variety of parts. Plenty of overtime, decent benefits, vacation, and profit sharing.

    Cons

Impersonal. Selective accountability when (if) disciplining employees. Lots of company politics.

    Advice to Management

Don't lose touch of what/who got you to where you are. Skilled employees can't be replaced as easily as you believe by people off the street.

I worked at Consolidated Precision Products full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Challenging projects for new and/or experienced employees. Good process flow. Friendly hard working employees

    Cons

Bad management with no higher education. Your input isn't taken into account until there is no other choice. A lot of favoritism. A bit of bullying from certain management. Micromanaging through fear and status instead of knowledge and experience.
Felt as though certain employees are being discriminated. Very low end of the pay scale.

    Advice to Management

If there is interest in moving forward and growing keep the young new engineers interested and mold them into what is right for the company. Bad language and intimidation will not do anything good for yourself and the company.
