I have been working at Constellation NewEnergy full-time

    Pros

The company has great health benefits. They also have a great diversity programs to engage employees. Good opportunity to move around the organization.

    Cons

Lower level management not trained on how to be good leaders. Many are placed in these positions based on who they know not what they know. Houston does not get all the extra benefits the employees at the corporate office are given.

    Advice to Management

Start over!! Employee moral is down. There are many low cost options that can boost employee moral. Send leaders to mandatory leadership training courses.

    Pros

Virtual office and condensed work schedule; education opportunities; support from other departments (not from legal); free parking

    Cons

HR fails to communicate employee grievances to upper management. Corporate retail lawyer and subordinate supervisor bully, lie, threaten, and coerce subordinates without recourse from HR and/or upper management. After supervisor was reported for breaking federal law, you'd think termination was in order but instead the company chose to demote this vile person.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees especially after they've reported a supervisor for breaking federal laws among other extremely unethical acts.

I have been working at Constellation NewEnergy full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The Sales and Training Managers want you to succeed and be an Energy Expert
so that not only can you sell but you can consult and be a liaison for companies.
You are able to help companies and help to understand what is going on in the energy industry and provide
solid information for the decision makers of the company. As a sales executive for Constellation you are able to provide options for owners so that they may make an informed decision about their business by choosing an energy supplier.

    Cons

The quota is tough to reach some times; you can put the effort in and some times the deals just don't come.
Hearing no or I'm not interested 45 to 50 times a day can be frustrating because unfortunately people have been inundated by energy reps who don't have integrity or the knowledge that Constellation employees do.
