    Pros

You can easily blame your mistakes on coworkers and get away with manipulating others because supervisors have no idea what really happens in job tasks day-to day especially in office jobs. However you can make mistakes constantly and not really know your job and still work there for 40 years with excellent profit sharing and benefits.

    Cons

Supervisors like to type cast individual employees as "good kids" and "bad kids". They treat you like children and write you up for either incidental stuff or things your coworkers blamed on you.

    Advice to Management

Have supervisors actually know the jobs they supervise, including how long it takes to pull material and make products. Keep Team leaders and most upper management, and get rid of mid-level departmental supervisors. They make more money than the "skills" they contribute. They also get promoted based on personal relationships with other supervisors rather than promoting good workers who perform well. The Human Resources...

I have been working at Construction Specialties full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

The company values loyalty and provides some decent opportunities for career advancement. It's a good place to work if you can do a good job. Many employees with more than 20 years of service. Good, but not great, culture.

    Cons

Very political in some key areas for potential career advancement. Management often places people in positions of leadership who are under-qualified. Slow-paced environment. Senior leadership allows management to make excuses. Lots of wasteful spending leads to having just enough human resources to trudge along.

    Advice to Management

Encourage decision making and risk taking. Focus on modernizing the culture. Eliminate waste on high-cost & low value investments so that you can invest in more resources where they're needed.

Great company to work at. Amazing opportunity to start in the construction industry and make contacts in the construction industry.

    Cons

There are absolutely no cons in this company. You will be rewarded if you work hard and not if you don't like any other company.

I have been working at Construction Specialties full-time

    Pros

Hard to get fired, decent pay nice people, the normal day there is 7.5 hours so that's definitely a plus. friendly coworkers.

    Cons

There is not much room to move up in the company. Most of the upper management are self concerned rather than for the growth of the company as a whole.

    Advice to Management

Work on training the new employees and younger employees more. There are repetitive issues that could be avoided if there was some training for the jobs.
