    Pros

Nearly unlimited OT available due to constant turnover. You can wear whatever scrubs you like. Many residents are pleasant in spite of circumstances.

    Cons

So so many. Negative work environment, zero respect for the nursing department. You will never have the supplies you need. Watch your back

I have been working at Consulate Health Care full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

If you enjoy working with the elderly the job is fulfilling.

    Cons

You do not get paid for the amount of work and stress you have to deal with on a daily basis. Department heads do not always work together as a team. The benefits and PTO is awful and only nursing department is allowed to get overtime.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees with respect no matter what department their in. Acknowledge your employees for a job well done, offer some type of incentive to them feel appreciated for a job well done.

    Pros

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING THIS PLACE IS HORRIFYING!!!!

    Cons

Envoy of Woodbridge should be closed down by the health dept, right after they get rid of that rude, ghetto executive director. The drector treats staff like they are all children, has zero manners and could care less about the residents or emoloyees.. Only thing she is cares about is the state coming., she should be, they need to be fined on so many levels that they get shut down. The residents are sickly (conditions worsen while at Envoy) patient charts are falsified and updated after a patient or loved one complains just to cover their tracks. There are known cases of pneumonia, loss of serious weight due to no one cares to make sure residents are well fed, bathed or anything else. The entire place smells worse then the city dump.. The carpet is soaked of urine and bowl moment stains everywhere. PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONES HERE.. NOT EVEN FOR A TOUR! RUN DO NOT WALK AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN!!

    Advice to Management

Tear the place down, start all over!! Worst place ever!

I worked at Consulate Health Care full-time

    Pros

You learn that the business is mostly about making money for many horrid companies like Consulate.

    Cons

I worked for Consulate as a Director or Admissions and Marketing for 3 years before they let me go.

The issue with consulate is its bad reputation goes far in the industry and in the community. It is hard to sell to a patient a one star facility, a smelly and terrible food facility when there are so many great, good or even decent facilities around.

You are blamed for their reputation and expect you to sell and tell patients that they will get the same treatment there as any other 5 or 4 stars facilities.

Consulate fires everybody after they have used and abused then. In my 3 years I witnessed the firing of 28 department beards, regional and District Managers. Those people could not all have been bad. I worked with many and all where competent however the expectation layed on them was often ridiculous.

Consulate's culture is of fear, they want you to feel like at anytime you can be removed from your position and there's plenty of example to show you that they do what they say they will do to you if they are done with you.

    Advice to Management

    Your actions are despicable.
