I worked at Consulate Health Care full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

My coworkers who have been employed there as long as I or longer are some of the most loyal people I have met.

    Cons

Most of their policies from corporate level are not employee friendly. They are not appreciative of their staff and do not seem to care much for the patients so the floor staff has to go above and beyond with no recognition, whether it be a raise, bonus or even a simple "thank you."

    Advice to Management

Show more respect for your workers and patients, because without them you would have no job. One HR person told an employee who was dating a person of different color that Consulate does not condone interatial relationships.

I have been working at Consulate Health Care full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Positive team members, convenient location, clean building, friendly staff including housekeeping & maintenance, close to local hospitals and physicians. On site physicians. Stable administration. No agency staff in over a year.

    Cons

    Can't think of any currently

I worked at Consulate Health Care full-time

    Pros

Nurses willing to help. Interacting with the patient. Good pay.

    Cons

I got only a few days of training and then sent to fend for myself. Management did not care about patient safety. Only cared about shifts getting covered. Always ran out of supplies. Unrealistic workload. They need to shut this place down. Sad to leave the patients behind.

    Advice to Management

    Shut the place down!

    Pros

Someone is always willing to help

    Cons

Management and Don are unpleasant and disrespectful. Low pay. Understaffed for Nurses and cnas.

    Advice to Management

You set the environment for the employees, try to make it a pleasant one so your staff isn’t always quitting and in a hurry to leave the building.

I worked at Consulate Health Care full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The facility is pretty nice and most of the nurses and management are easy to get along with.

    Cons

One of the worst places I have work it was so unorganized always out of supplies and always short handed. Nothing ran smoothly I was always stressed out cause of those 2 things. People were always being stolen from couldn't even take my things inside cause there wasn't enough lockers plus the palmeto bugs were horrible. The shower room on the long term side was always nasty cause other aids didnt clean up after them selves.

    Pros

A pro is that food was decent

    Cons

They don't know how to run a business. They treat their patients like crap and they don't care about them on top of that you are judged by your skin color.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to treat everyone equally and run a business properly.
