I have been working at Content Equals Money for more than a year

    Pros

My time at CEM has been very enjoyable. The hours are flexible which is nice. The content I've edited has been interesting and challenging. Most importantly management did a good job explaining what to expect while working here. They give great feedback on your work and are very conscientious about checking in on your progress.

    Cons

One "con" is that certain clients can be a bit more confusing than others and can take some time to get used to. This "con" can be easily mitigated though. If there is any confusion, the CEM team is quick to offer guidance. You need to ask for it and that can be tough for people who aren't comfortable working in a remote environment. Personally, I enjoy remote work, but it may not be for everyone.

I worked at Content Equals Money full-time for less than a year

    Pros

None. This company tells whatever it is you need to hear to keep you working, and then does not pay you. The owner just sent out an email stating she was shutting down the company, along with an empty promise that she'd pay eventually. I don't expect to ever see my money.

    Cons

I spent three weeks working in good faith thinking I would be paid. In that time, I turned down other work. I have no doubt the owner hired me knowing she was never going to pay me for my work. There is no other way to describe this than WAGE THEFT.

Lots of work but pay is always delayed. I’m months behind.

    Cons

Not getting paid or promised benefits. Cruel and temperamental owner
