I worked at Continental full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nothing. They won't let u sleep and tell you to keep their eyes open.

    Cons

U was deprived of sleep for nine months. I'm surprised I didn't die on the way to work. They had the managers (including one pregnant woman) chant in screeching voices, "KEEP Your Eyes open" while playing a chainsaw at 3 am. The ADAS SW group are barbaric savages.

    Advice to Management

For God's sake.... Chainsaws? Really? All night? For God's sake people why?

I have been working at Continental full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You don't need any experience in the field to start working here.
    You have a set schedule.
All full time positions min of 40 hours

    Cons

    Missing paychecks
    Dysfunctional working conditions
    Multiple wrongful terminations
    Discriminatory behavior
    Favoritism by leads and supervisors
    Shift and department wars
    Employees are treated as replaceable
You have to start as a temp and it takes almost a year before you can get hired on permanently
    Hardly any training
30 mins worth of breaks for a 8 hour shift
    Poor air quality

    Advice to Management

Make a effort to show that you value your employees, improve on the working conditions, have higher management spread out on multiple shifts and not just one to deter discrimination and abuse of power.

I have been working at Continental full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Absolutely none. The company has money to burn, but other than that nothing much to offer. New facility, but unfinished.

    Cons

Upper management is full of amateurs, who are clueless about everything this site has to produce technologically. Highly political environment marred with overweight big company processes. This place is a total dead end in case someone is trying to grow academically and professionally. Worst of all they don't know how to treat people right, e.g., they forced employees to move into an unfinished facility, with construction still on going, at the beginning of this year. HR is a total sham that conveniently ignores the four basic values that the company preaches and swears by.

    Advice to Management

Practice the Conti values that you preach.

    Cons

    Advice to Management

When someone come to you with a issue. Stop believing all because it's a man. I feel yall take the man side instead of the women. I think yall discriminating to a women. This goes for the men who work for HR

    Pros

Pretty good benefits, pay was ok, 12 hour shifts were so much better than 8s, easy work

    Cons

A lot of overtime when on 8 hour shifts, they will use you to do a job above your pay without paying you that rate or promoting you. Cliquey high school culture, get in with the right people. They claim quality is their biggest concern, especially in front of the Germans, but it's just smoke. Present a problem, they say they will work on it but eventually it gets passed on as a good part

I worked at Continental full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Their decisions cost them 100's of millions more than anticipated.

    Cons

After the Motorola Takeover, they came and assured us that we were doing an excellent job and that there were no plans concerning any changes. Four months later, they announced the plant shutdown. When you go for the cheapest worker, you get a similar result.

Their CEO said that the addition of the Motorola automotive group would not result in job losses or reductions. I guess that means when you lay-off some and then rehire in another country... it's all a wash. They tried to save a dime and it cost them a buck.

They dismantled the facility in NY that consisted of a newer plant and an educated non-union workforce that was among industry leaders in delivery and quality. Lines were sent around the world and it has been nothing but trouble for them ever since. Some of those lines had to be returned to the states due to production obstacles they couldn't overcome offshore.

It will take years and years for them to just break even let alone be profitable on such a dismal decision. Good job boys....

    Advice to Management

You get what you pay for
