I have been working at Continental (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good Company to work, lots of energy from employees, too many events used to happen all through out the year, great sport organising committee organises sports on a regular basis, so that it brings the company together, especially Cricket. Management is good too.

    Cons

CEO Raghav left Conti in 2016

I have been working at Continental full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

You have opportunities to advance and you have opportunities learn. Also if you're lazy you can do nothing and still be paied.

    Cons

Bad management. Most of the management are incompetent so they will not be able to understand your work.

I have been working at Continental full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Solid values, some very intelligent people, good place for a first job

    Cons

Painfully slow to improve on anything unless you are at Germany or a few other major research hubs, wages below average, stagnated people with little experience outside the automotive or Continental itself causing even further crushing of new ideas that some might not understand or want to explore, useless "experts" hierarchy where some feel like they are the second coming of Jesus when they can't see how backwards are themselves some times.

Hard to learn from other areas on the same company, they have internal walls (metaphorically) where not even vital information or processes are shared between their own areas.

They will never teach you the basics of the Automotive business until you really need it for a project, but will ask you to teach everything new you know instead, they are not reciprocal on the knowledge sharing.

Management is a HUGE mess, nobody knows or wants to take the initiative and are more worried about on what to save money than the development or quality of the products.

    Advice to Management

Embrace new ideas faster, you old "bread and butter" devices are on their way out faster than ever, stopping new engineers from promoting new ideas or failing to recognize them faster will cost you millions.

Allow more individuality from places outside Germany, instead of using some like code and release monkeys alone.

I have been working at Continental full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Good hikes
    32 leaves per year

    Cons

    Worst HR process
    No job security
    No project change option
They don't know why they are recruiting
They will remove employee if you question them
    Higher management is useless.
Should be careful before joining because HR is there only for name

    Advice to Management

HR should not work for manager. They should work for employee betterment

    Recommends
    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Continental full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

You will work in a worldwide environment and see how the rest of the world perceives business and the way of working, excellent place to learn public relations.

    Cons

The day to day work is very stressful because we are always running with many projects at the same time, the time difference with the rest of the world does not let us have a fixed schedule to work.

    Advice to Management

There is a lot of staff turnover lately because they have not taken the time to analyze the economic proposals against the responsibility we have, unfortunately there is no balanced in between those 2.
