I have been working at Continental full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good pay. Good benefits. Overtime always available. Good job security. Good rewards. Gift cards at Christmas. Two bonuses in April.

    Cons

Your doing the same constant things for 12 hours. Rotating shifts. They take away your holidays. If you work night shift your doing the work of 2-3 people.

I have been working at Continental full-time

    Pros

core values are a strong internal and external message (when adopted from leadership down), company is financially successful overall and growing, excellent benefits and 401K

    Cons

Leadership often times more focused on growth than quality and sustainability, expect increasingly successful results from projects with limited resources (budget, experience, etc). Daily work often feels like a "choose your own adventure" novel among conflicting top priorities.

I have been working at Continental full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Company is a global player with many different career opportunities Overall remuneration and benefits are very good Open door policy is lived and not just proclaimed Very good working atmosphere.

    Cons

Some higher up managers are not exactly role-models for "good leadership" Some locations of Continental (especially Manufacturing plants) are not located in attractive areas to live

I worked at Continental full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Truly outstanding and innovative employer. Technology leader or co-leader in many Automotive fields. Opportunities to be involved in a huge variety of different automotive technologies. Work life balance very good in many departments, though this varies with Manager and department. Workload generally manageable.

    Cons

Very limited promotion opportunities if you are looking to move upwards and continue a career. This has forced many 10+ year employees to leave to seek new challenges. Management spends insufficient effort to provide a stimulating environment for higher potential employees. They will continue to lose talent that should not depart the company.

I worked at Continental full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great growing product portfolio; Strong & Visible executive leadership focused on the future; clear articulated mission, vision & values; good retention of key talent so relationships are formed leading to their desired network culture. Good HR Processes and Programs for high potentials.

    Cons

It's still a German company, so many of the top opportunities are reserved for those who will at a minimum reside in Germany and likely need to speak German. Makes it difficult for ambitious talent in functional areas within a region. Also, regions are staffed lightly, so it makes it difficult to allow key people to take expat assignments without disrupting the region.

I have been working at Continental full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Continental offers lots of work life benefits. They offer a lot of vacation days to start. Management is easy to talk to and they want to hear what you have to say.

    Cons

Not much training during an internship. They just expect you to know how everything works. A lot of travel between the 3 locations.
