    Pros

    I love being able to help and teach our dealers on a daily basis. I love my coworkers.

    Cons

    Management needs some work, management really needs some training. Communication about what's going on is getting less and less. I've moved desks 4 times in just over 2 years, almost like musical chairs.

    I have been working at Control4 full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Friendly co-workers, free food on occasion, nice cubicle space

    Cons

    1- PAY. The pay is pathetic compared to the industry, especially here in the Silicon Slopes. Utah's cost of living has skyrocketed and salaries have not gone up to match cost of living. Even more insane is the pay for employees in California, a place more expensive to live and yet they get paid Utah salaries. A tech support position at another company pays anywhere from 10K-15K MORE than what we make. Our CEO Martin Plaehn makes millions each year, which is hundreds of times more what we make. We come to work in aged Toyotas and he drives in with a flawless BMW i8. The income gap is quite frankly too much, we deserve more. 2-MANAGMENT. Seniority is king here, which means plenty of people get promoted when they should not. The hard workers that would make great supervisors never get promoted. Management thinks Tech Support is not worth their time and we get paid pathetically while our CEO worries more about his image and shiny BMW, while getting 6-8 Million dollars per year. The board and CEO are out of touch with most of the issues internally we are having.

    I have been working at Control4 full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    -Good atmosphere in the offices (both Irvine, CA and Draper, UT offices) -The company cares about employee happiness. Although I don't know that this is company wide across all departments. -When things get bad, upper management does seem to listen. -Decent career progression -Good work life balance. Working about 40-45 hours a week. -Company made radical changes to management about a year ago which I feel will result in better products down the road. -Bagels every Friday.

    Cons

    -It can often times feel like there are too many meetings about getting things which leaves less time to actually get things done. -Company pays employees in California the same as those in Utah. Cost of living is not the same. -Company is behind it's competitors in a lot of areas. -There needs to be more transparency with the customer base about product issues.

    I have been working at Control4 full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Great work colleagues, great supervisor who treats people respectfully and professionally whilst creating a positive work environment. Market leading Tech that is available to use and test Turned out 1.5 hours early for a site visit, and worked through the day, voluntarily i might add, and gained invaluable insight with an opportunity that we were lucky to be a part of. Management in the department very open and honest and colleagues in department very helpful and share knowledge and expertise readily

    Cons

    Worldwide company with many departments concentrating on particular objectives, so sometimes communication can be difficult when marrying different departments' ways of working
