I have been working at Convergent full-time

    Pros

    7 Holidays paid, 401k (100% for 4%), health care benefits after 90-days.

    Cons

Managers have proven the "Peter Principle" correct; every employee has risen in the hierarchy through promotion until they reach the levels of their respective incompetence. I overheard a manager talking to her team and complaining about how many times they use the bathroom...

    Advice to Management

Positional management is out! The strength of the organization come from all employees.

    I worked at Convergent full-time

    Pros

Flexible hours, friendly staff, opportunity to work remotely.

    Cons

Executive management at Convergent's parent company seems out of touch with the company as a whole. They seem uninterested in understanding operations or their employees.

    Advice to Management

When managing an organization you've acquired, get to know the business and its people so that decisions are better informed and not unwise.

I worked at Convergent full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Helping train the individuals hired.

    Cons

Pay scale, constant changes in management, management not valuing or caring about employees, no work/life balance, management lies to clients about various issues and expect trainers and supervisors to do the same, HR department changes constantly and know about bad business practices and issues with management but work with them to cover it up. Company has been sued a number of times for illegal business practices. $14/day per diem when traveling for the company.

    Advice to Management

Value the employees, bring the pay scale up to a competitive wage, promote better work/life balance. When there are employees traveling for work, give them more than $14/day per diem.
