I worked at Convergys full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There really aren't any. It paid the bills. That's the only good thing about Convergys.

    Cons

No change of advancement. No pay raise in 18 months. Unwilling to work with health or family emergencies.
Management doesn't follow their own rules. Erratic schedule changes with zero warning. No real commission for sales you're hounded to get every single day ($5 a sale...) The hiring team completely lied about everything from flexible hours, to compensation, to allotted break time.

    Advice to Management

    Get it together.
Stop promising advancement and raises when you aren't actually going to give them out.
Respect that your employees are people with real feelings, real needs, and real stuff going on outside of work.
Pay your employees for the job they do.
Follow your own stupid rules or don't have them.

    Pros

    Good hourly pay start out

    Cons

Shady management pays nothing for sales yet expects you to bust your hump and sell your soul to make a sale

    Advice to Management

Pay your workers more and actually appreciate your workers people are beings with feelings not numbers

    Pros

Convergys is a great job, especially if you are the type that would like to avoid factory environments. You do have to be able to catch on quickly to new concepts, as well as being able to accomplish multitasking between screens. There are lots of motivational perks that occur to encourage everyone to do their best.

    Cons

Some downsides to working at Convergys would be that there is no normal or stable work environment. Once you get used to being on a certain teams that you actually work well with, the team changes without warning. You never get to pick teams or stay on a team that has worked well together to maximize sales.

    Advice to Management

If I had one thing that I could say to management, I would say that it would be good if you could make the teams more stable.Without warning, the dynamic is always interrupted, almost feeling like a punishment. Sometimes rewards are based off of team performance, so changing teams is not always the best.

    Pros

Friendly trainers, good work environment..decent benefits. The company technology was up to date for most projects, the company as a whole was a good starting point.

    Cons

Staff was undertrained, trainers were not up to date on policy. Issues with middle management were often ignored.

    Advice to Management

More training for trainers. There was very little faith put into trainers as far as them knowing their job requirements.

I worked at Convergys full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I don't know because the "HR recruiting department was so short staffed that the recruiter was very far behind on her work". Or, this was the excuse she gave for losing all the information about my application which was a month long process of applying, interviewing & trying to get a confirmed schedule for training.

    Cons

Please refer to my previous comment and all of the others reviews available on this company. We are not making this stuff up!

    Advice to Management

Over haul of your HR division is desperately in order.
