I worked at Convergys full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Benefits package is great almost comparable to government jobs. That's all ................................

    Cons

Where do I start. Pressure from management and operations management. All you feel like like is a number not a respected valued employee. Typical call centre on all stages. You make a mistake and you sure won't get fired because they need you as a number but they will hold it over your head for weeks. Advice stay away from Belleville Ontario Convergys is all I'm vouching for. I handed in my 2 weeks notice and 1 week later I was terminated without cause while out of my probation at that Waiting to see my ROE to fight it.

    Advice to Management

Leave when you can you are the reason for the bad turn around rate. Go do better things

I worked at Convergys part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Checks came in on time....

    Cons

    - Too many support techs were not qualified to answer questions for problems related to client's personal computers.
    - Techs often made recommendations not truthful due to inability to troubleshoot problem and keep average call time minutes down.

    Advice to Management

Pay qualified techs what they deserve and get better support for your clients.

    Pros

Convergys was a steady work enviornment. there were multiple ways to earn extra money and advancement chances were also pretty bountiful. I like the varied shift and scheduling chances also

    Cons

the downside to working at convergys was management. they had favroites that would get promoted to areas off the phone or better schedules...everything almost solely depended on who you knew.

    Cons

rotating schedules, starting salary, redundancy of policies

    Advice to Management

Hire Americans... this is one of the biggest complaints I heard from customers calling in. We all like to speak to people we can understand and comprehend.

    Pros

Easy to quickly get hired at this company if you need money quickly. You're life can be made hell or heaven depending on what Team Lead you get. I love how they paid for tution reimbursement, I got $2,000 for last semester. Its a decent job if you are in school, just don't get stuck working here for the rest of your life.

    Cons

seems like a dead end job. You get yelled at by customers on a daily basis for things that are out of your control. Customers want you to produce the impossible. The pay is pretty low ($11.72) is what im currently making.

    Advice to Management

You get what you pay for. Don't expect much from employees if you're not going to pay us much.
