    Pros

    Decent (if expensive) benefits and a generous (for a call center) attendance requirement. Lots of opportunities for advancement!

    Cons

    Pay is not competitive and some sites can be run down. Management is not always consistent and programs are constantly coming and going.

    I have been working at Convergys (More than a year)

    Pros

    It is a great job as a starter in the industry. Decent starting pay.

    Cons

    But no chance for a raise. Promotions do not really pay more for the extra responsibilities. $0.50 extra for SME, but lose ability for OT. Also seems they do not want to keep their tenured agents, eventhough they don't get paid any more than a new hire.

    Advice to Management

    Work on retaining your talent. Everyone leaves after a year, maybe two.

    Pros

    I have enjoyed working at Convergys. The overall company has many good people working for them. I have enjoyed working there due to Management Style and Team Members. Overall they were fair and honest. They have great benefits for you and your family.

    Cons

    Convergys provided 60 day notice to advised they were shutting down their brick and mortar centers in 3 locations in Utah. I believe they could have done more to keep projects moving forward in these locations. Keeping competition healthy in the community. Instead they gave up in the 3 locations. Sad as many good people were forced to move to other companies when they enjoyed working for Convergys.

    Advice to Management

    Keeping competitve in the market. Asking the employees (aka as Inside Customer Service) of what Convergys could have done different to keep qualified good employees still working inside their own communities.
    Stop focusing with moving outside the United States and opening Call Center there and paying lower wages.

    Pros

    It is a fun, caring environment to work, and the management made everyone feel valued

    Cons

    Convergys is closing their Ogden and Orem branches and they don't give references, and the people who've been here 30 years are getting nothing more than those who've been here 1 or 2 years.

    Advice to Management

    Honor loyalty from your employees.

    Pros

    Great PTO which includes Vacation & Sick Time. Great 401K Match also.

    Cons

    No Job Stability - Continuously threatening that at least project you are working on if not the whole site, will be closing. Upper Management does not listen to employees. His way or the highway. Even with Clients that contract for Convergys to take there calls.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to what employees and even Clients are trying to tell you and maybe you could keep projects. Also screen who you are hiring better. Too many fights & smart mouthed kids employed here.
