    Pros

    Good pay, easy to start, no experience necessary

    Cons

    Poor management, poor communication, poor security, projects come and go very quickly with no heads-up to employees.

    Advice to Management

    Actually work to effectively communicate when projects are ending so that people know what to expect.

    I worked at Convergys full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    I worked with several cool people, a lot of them I went to high school with. The only redeeming quality was my manager I had. She was pleasant, and fun to work for which made driving over half an hour to get to work on a daily basis worth it

    Cons

    Their pay scale was/is a joke, they never did anything as true incentives to get you to push sales i.e. no commission pay, they hit you with attendance points for agreeing to head home early when call volume was low, they lie to you about family importance. My mom had I heart attack while I was going through their training. I am a single father with custody of my kids that I have had for a long time, and they docked me points and wanted to fire me due to my needing to stay home to care for my children and my physically ill father (while he was alive) while my mom was in the hospital. They have had multiple lawsuits against them for shortchanging employees hourly pay due to their computer programs slowing their systems down to the point where I was always counted late.

    DONT WORK THERE

    Pros

    Paid Training (excellent), with their training you will pass the states Ins exam. And they pay for all of the cost to get you licensed in 23 States.

    Cons

    Strict, one deviation from their policy and you are out the door

    Advice to Management

    Your policies are selectively enforced. Some people get canned and some do not for doing the same infraction.

    I worked at Convergys (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    I worked there for 5 years, I miss the company as it lt like my family. They try there best to keep morale up many different ways. There is room to move up. I worked as a licensed insurance and believe me I put in my time but the biggest thing Convergys did for me is experience and paying for all my licenses and training as I took those skills and licenses and now I am making more than probably everyone at the Wichita location, ok the #1 Press prob beast me but over all il would tel anyone who needs a job to apply at Convergys

    f you let yourself be you are only a number there are hundreds of employees so I would have to look for feed back etc

    Pros

    The customers of the company we work with. Paid vacation, insurance,discount on cell phones and paid holidays.

    Cons

    Favoritism among manager and employees. No support from supervisor if needed

    Advice to Management

    Be available if needed and have an open door policy. The employees are the reason you have job.

    The pay and some of the customers. Get the skills to move on to a better less stressful job.

    Pros

    easy to get hired on
    worked there four different times so often easy to get re hired

    Cons

    they will find a reason to fire people and lie to unemployment to side with them
    people take approved vacation and come back to get fired
    bathroom sometimes out of order and they use technology used by jails to prevent cell phones even turned off
    advancement only for favorites

    Advice to Management

    treat employees better
    do not lie to fire employees that have been there for years and effecting their families when lies deny unemployment benefits
    have managers and trainers that care about people.

    Pros

    A lot of giveaways and prizes to earn. Promotes "fun" atmosphere.

    Cons

    Management is misdirected and in constant flux. Cracks the whip by the hour to "Smile and dial" Sell Sell Sell!!! Management encourages shady practices to make the numbers!

    Advice to Management

    Get your act together & adequately utilize personnel; business is more than a numbers game.
