    Pros

Beautiful product. Many styles for many women--things that anyone would want!!!

    Cons

No support--no encouragement. In an online business, it is particularly difficult to engage those who were committed to support to step up!

    Advice to Management

    GET IT TOGETHER!!!

I worked at Cookie Lee full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Allowed to grow and advance while there. Amazing co-workers. Clear policies. Work life balance was good for a long time, not sure since ownership change.

    Cons

New management doesn't understand you need to give to your employees as well as ask of them. Dismal prospects as company has been shrinking consistently since 2007.

    Advice to Management

Trust your seasoned staff. Pay your vendors.

    Pros

Small company with some really great staff.

    Cons

Owner wants employees to work 70 hours/week with minimal benefits and no appreciation.

I worked at Cookie Lee full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Mid size and very close knit group of employees
Many coworkers were very seasoned with close to 10 years average at CL each
    Great environment
Regular reviews and pay-rate increases every year

    Cons

Sold and changed company name in 2015
    Environment in flux
Compensation is usually a little bit less than the regular market to start, but that can disappear as pay-rate increases

    Advice to Management

Some decisions were hasty and not well thought out evidenced by the need to re-contract some employees laid off back for their domain knowledge.

I worked at Cookie Lee full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The core vision, mission and values that the company strives to achieve are very admirable. There are fun events that the company creates for their independent consultants and the company is predominantly women which is very empowering.

    Cons

The company seems to get caught up in childish behavior, the senior staff do not set very good examples and there is not a lot of room for creativity. 3 company wide lay offs.

    Advice to Management

Don't forget about your team and how much they support your postion and senior staff.

  9. "Very nice people work there. However, their consultants are overpaid while the employees are underpaid."

    Pros

    Cons

    There is no upward mobility.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees more (what is left of them)

    Pros

They try to foster a family feeling. Key word is 'Try'

    Cons

If you are a male then you can forget about moving up with this companmy. Just gain experience and move on before you get canned or laid off. And heaven forbod about speaking up. Speaking up only leads to write ups.

    Advice to Management

Upper management needs to get their heads out of the sand and spend money in the right place. Lots of times they justspend money foolishly and get no results from it. Company lacks major growth anythime soon unless changes or made to senior management. No real experience in upper managment. They just fly by the seats of their pants.

    Pros

Can be fun. Ops for growth if you don't get laid off first.

    Cons

Upper management none too competent. Monies dumped into the wrong employees and directions.
