I have been working at Cooley full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Laid-back, yet still professional and skilled environment.
Very different from other "typical" law firms and their culture.
    Great pay and benefits.
    Generous paid-time-off.

    Cons

Medical benefits are good, but they're very expensive.
Staff management is really out for the convenience and benefit of attorneys and higher-ups, as opposed to the actual staff, leaving staff feeling unsupported and without a true voice.

    Advice to Management

Reduce the cost of medical benefits to staff.
Hire someone in management that is a true advocate for staff members and not someone who's solely out for the benefit and convenience of attorneys - a better balance should exist.

Professional, respectful and mutually supportive management team. Great pay, benefits and atmosphere of professionalism. Cooley Staff Appreciation was OVER THE TOP! They really know how to spoil their employees when they show their appreciation. The integrity and values of this firm are reflected on a day to day basis. They are always looking to improve, seeking contributions and input from employees and are always approachable and open. Not surprising they are on every "BEST" list year after year!
