    I have been working at Cooper Companies full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Low-turnover results in consistent culture. Not uncommon to see people stay here for 15+ years. Active in the community.

    Cons

    The business doesn't say "No" to Upper management enough, resulting in slow adoption of best-practices and wasted money. Couple bad managers that have stayed put prevent talent from being mentored. Career development program lacking.

    Advice to Management

    Don't be afraid to challenge long-time incumbents and make Career Development a priority for those of us that are trying to move up.

    Pros

    The company is a third largest contact lens company in the United State and has a variety of products in the world.

    Cons

    The company culture is not that great. No opportunities for inside employees to move up the ladder. They keep bringing in outside people for management levels.
