I have been working at Cooper University Health Care

    Pros

Benefits are good, lots of OT available

    Cons

Always short staffed!! Never enough staff!!

    Advice to Management

Hire more staff and stop trying to wear down the good ones you already have. That’s why there’s such a high turn over rate!

I worked at Cooper University Health Care full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Decent pay, good benefits at the time

    Cons

Major micro-management. If you are two minutes late, you get written up and the kicker is, your micro-managing manager is running to catch the elevator behind you because she got caught in the same traffic jam. There is no equality. More & more responsibility gets piled on with no bump in pay. No room for advancement.

    Advice to Management

Give employees more autonomy. Stop micro-managing. Let employees review managers just like managers review employees. Hold managers to same standards you hold employees. It is the only way to gain mutual respect.

I have been working at Cooper University Health Care part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Benefits are good if you use within the cooper network, the tuition reimbursement is a plus. There are times where scheduling is slightly more flexible with the individual.

    Cons

Terrible management and pay isn't comparable to the rest of the industries pay grade. Employees are under appreciated and the departments across the board are never adequately staffed and new employees are never properly trained.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to your employees and their complaints or suggestions to make it a better work environment!

    Pros

Good benefits. Salary ok. Caring deeply For patients. Room for growth. Big organization. Outside offices as well as the hospital to seek employment in other location.

    Cons

As with many jobs there's pros and cons. In my personal experience as of now the only thing I see are the annual raises. Very low percentage. However many places are the same though.

    Advice to Management

    None at this time.
