Pros
Great healthcare benefits and paid time off
Cons
Company is focused more on numbers, ratings and money the company can make, rather than the employees. Work atmosphere can be like high school at times with catty like behavior, cliques and those that smile in your face but talk about you behind your back. Managers tend to have their favorites and look out for them while others are left working their butts off to do the job the office golden children won't do
Advice to Management
Take the time to care about the employees, giving them better career opportunities and having their back versus stabbing them in it. Numbers aren't everything. Appreciate the hardworking staff that supports you. Stand up for them, encourage them, give more position opportunities to be in higher positions. Stop having favorites and treat all employees equally. Otherwise Karma is going to smack you in the face... eventually.

Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookI worked at Cooper University Health Care for less than a year
Pros
Salary was very good for experience, the physicians and doctors are world class. Few diamond in the rough employees among a sea of clueless people. Great healthcare benefits
Cons
Upper management is useless and clueless to running a successful system. No checks and balances in play, high employment turnover rate, high billing mistakes due to hiring under skilled lower hourly employees, lower salary employees not vetted properly. Threatning to make people come in to work during snowstorms or get fired
Advice to Management
complete overhaul of management and HR practices needed. too much hiring of 'friends' filling high level positions they clearly are not qualified for.

Pros
It's the best place to work. Great benefits and all that . Work with you on school and 2nd jobs
Cons
1 write up and you can't get promoted or move to another department for a WHOLE YEAR. which is bad. Pay raise is kinda slow. You only get a raise a while
Advice to Management
change the policy of transferring to different departments. Pay raise should be frequently.

Pros
Great benefits and they do pay for some certs/continuing education.
Cons
If you're not involved in patient care you're a second class department. Managers played favorites, even with other mangers. Performance reports used to reward cronies and punish those who don't brown nose and boot lick. Clear ageism and lookism issues to go with rampant cronyism,e.g. the young and beautiful friends of the manager got treated the best regardless of performance.
Advice to Management
Stop promotions based on your friends and start promoting based on performance. Stop using performance reviews strictly as way to punish enemies and reward friends.

Pros

Cons
No loyalty . No communication . When you reach a certain pay they find away to get rid of you. 2 doctors 1 Rn 1 front desk person 1 billing person all let go from the same office all with over but 1 had over 20 years at the same office were all let go In a 15 month period. Cutting the fat
Advice to Management
Get educated. Keep the people that have helped you grow.
