    Pros

    Free air tickets and other benefits.

    Cons

    Low salaries. Basic internal services don't work without a lot of follow-up (IT, finance, etc.). Too many negative leaders.

    Advice to Management

    Measure the correct workload of the service departments as well as those that provide service to customers.

    Travel benefits
    Different job everyday
    Great to work at the airport

    Cons

    Had to work really hard. No holidays, no weekends off, everything is about seniority and laid off after 4 years just for economical reasons...

    Management in US stations suck!

    Pros

    A region leader in the aviation industry, very solid financially and very aggressive expansion plans. Excellent pay and great benefits available

    Cons

    Middle management believes they own the company! Once you are in the "eye of the hurricane", your immediate middle management supervisor does nothing or little to help you, more interested in removing you or creating a plan to increase productivity

    Advice to Management

    Do not give to much authority to people that don't understand the business. It has become a more egocentric style of management

    The salary could improve, the traveling benefits are good but you never had the time to use them. The carrier opportunities are not that good, they usually brought people from other companies rather to develop their own employees

    Pros

    Amazing Organization! You feel an absolute sense of pride when you are an employee for Copa.

    Cons

    Zero ramp-up and zero training for administrative roles. All the training and resources are made available to employees who directly face customers.

    Some Sr. Directors and higher ups have zero people skills and abuse their employees and HR does nothing about it. Inspiring Leadership isn't something HR or the CEO worries to much about.

    Policy that they will not rehire employees who have voluntarily left the company... Poor HR thinking.

    Advice to Management

    Give your new hires (those without previous aviation experience) all the support so that they can ramp-up properly! Have at least some training manuals.

    Update your HR policies!!! Expect those in management roles to be inspiring leaders or at least teach them to value, respect and support their employees.

    This could very well be the most amazing company in the world if a little thought were put into it.
