    I worked at CorVel full-time

    Pros

good PTO, learned some good technologies, made some friends, location is downtown, nice new office, the manager was very tough, but very smart and I got to be mentored really well. she gave me a few good tips that helped me along the way. I was happy for her she got promoted so high up. the company seems to care about promoting women who deserve it. way to go!

    Cons

very bad health benefits. workload can be bit too much. strict processes, my work was looked at through a microscope. no room to grow. sometimes the gossip can be too much and a bit toxic. very little interactions, creating a rather sterile environment where people do not know how to start conversations. some management played really bad mind games. very strict dress code.

    Advice to Management

you got to give your employees good benefits man.

I have been working at CorVel full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Lots of dedicated individuals working very hard.

    Cons

Very corporate and somewhat behind on using the latest technologies and applications to forward business strategies.

    Advice to Management

Give more to your people to show that you appreciate them. Create a culture of self care so that your employees can give better care to customers and claimants. Create more competitive benefits package, especially in the ways of healthcare insurance; being that is a major pillar of this business.

I have been working at CorVel full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They offer remote employment and flexible work schedule. We are allowed to work any 8 hour shift between 7a-7p and they also offer extended lunch periods. They have started having monthly team meetings which allows us to function better as a department.

    Cons

They have been understaffed for over 3 years without much improvement. Morale is low and turnover rate is high. Health insurance is very expensive and other benefits like paid vacation are also not very good. Pay is OK.

    Advice to Management

Work harder to hire and train more people. Listen to your team. Yearly raises should be higher for the amount of work we've all had for the past 3+ years.
