    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Coram full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great opportunity to apply clinical skill for patient pharmaceutical care. Interactions with patients and other healthcare professionals can be very positive for patient outcomes.

    Cons

Can be fast paced at times. The management, example paying subcontractors is difficult. The inventory manage process is cumbersome and the software tiring it to billing should have a better interface. Scanning inventory from delivery slips would eliminate a lot of "COG" errors.

    Advice to Management

Try to streamline paperwork. The clinical is getting much better with the improvements in software over the last year.

I worked at Coram full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Not a whole lot of positivity.

    Cons

Non-supportive upper management that has absolutely no respect for the clinical judgement or expertise of pharmacists, nurses, or any other health care professional, as long as they get the sale. If it suits upper management, they completely ignore patient safety and their own policies and procedures, if it means a lucrative sale, and have even (and illegally) over ridden the judgement of medical professionals just...

    Advice to Management

Upper management needs to be reviewed on an ongoing basis. The medical professionals that you hire HAVE THE LAST WORD on patient therapy and safety. State and federal laws are in place because greedy companies like yours do not take patient safety seriously. Obey them or pay the consequences.

"This was the worst position ever the training/on boarding was deplorable and did not occur until after 8 months time."

I worked at Coram full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The work is in a clinical office setting with day hours, no weekends, no holidays unless you are on the Pharmacist on call. A great opportunity to learn specialty infusion if you get the proper training and mentoring.

    Cons

The office culture is very politically uncomfortable whereby you are accepted and assisted if they like you, and if you don't fit in with the clique, you can forget it. Furthermore, the on boarding and training is poor to nonexistent. Its safe to say that you must tag along and pick up the skill set as best you can because management will tell you that Coram will not spoon feed you. This may be fair and valid however...

Get it together at least for the patient's sake.
