I have been working at Coram full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

wonderful coworkers, patients and a great branch manager. easy to get to by car or public transportation. The benefits are pretty good.

    Cons

high turn over, so lots of overtime and very stressful completing daily tasks. computer system is very cumbersome to work with is also has very slow response time.

    Advice to Management

find some way to prevent yearly employee turn over. raise salaries, better health insurance or bonuses.

I have been working at Coram full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Free to work on assigned task with little to no management so long as your tasks are fulfilled. No micromanaging.

    Cons

Little to no support from management. Unreasonable amount of work for the amount of staff. A lot of push back to hiring help.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employee needs, specially when they will benefit the company in the long run.

    I worked at Coram

    Pros

The people here make working at this place bearable... at least we all got along and had a common purpose ....to serve our patients. Benefits are ok....pay is pretty good.

    Cons

LONG HOURS....WORK UNTIL YOU GET DONE ATTITUDE... "mandatory overtime"... no shift differential.... pharmacy managers micro managing all the time... changing policies constantly...schedule is the WORST! they want you to be a team player, but the minute you say you can't do something, your a bad employee. NO employee morale building...no picnics with family, no "employee perks", they don't ever thank you for putting in...

I worked at Coram full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Most of the employees there were great. Many were willing to help out if you needed it. Benefits were decent.

    Cons

Management did not know how to speak to employees professionally. Favoritism, always having to defend yourself to management. Getting yelled at in front of other employees if you made an error. Inappropriate comments made to employees from management

    Advice to Management

Learn to help your employees and be someone your employees feel comfortable coming to for help. Try not to point fingers and actually try to understand the situation some of your employees encounter.

I worked at Coram full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Good starting wage. Decent but expensive benefits. Decent hours but forced to work lots of overtime. Weekends off unless you're on call which they won't tell you until you're hired.

    Cons

Horrible management! Employees walk around like gang members, harassing the staff and cursing like sailors! Unethical and non aseptic techniques in the clean room. Cannot use them as a reference.

    Advice to Management

Hire a branch manager with a soul, a pharmacy manager that is not so timid and will stand up for what she knows is right and fire the techs and anyone else with the "I can do anything I want and get away with it" attitude!

    Advice to Management

Clean house! You should fire the employees that let their pharmacy tech license expire!!
