I have been working at Coram part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Set your own schedule. Autonomy in job. Stock options. Now owned by CVS which should be a "pro"

    Cons

Corporate mentality, financial gain is their only concern. Employees are not made to feel valued. All since being bought out by CVS

    Advice to Management

Look at the nurses productivity for your company and how much their patients value them and model that when determining our value. If we don't make mistakes and patients are cared for, that should be of significant importance to you. It is not whatsoever! No raises, ever. We are now the lowest paid infusion company in Jacksonville and thus our quality of nurses is decreasing. Patients and prescribers can sense that....

I worked at Coram full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Loved my patients and learning New therapies

    Cons

Management does not appreciate the work the nurses do, want you to work a schedule that can be any time from early am to late evening. And oncall 6 days a month on top of it. Your work schedule controls your life. Micromanaged and yet poorly run in nursing department. Office staff gets perks like free lunches while the nurses are putting on 500+ miles every week taking care of patients with no perks or appreciation....

    Advice to Management

Take care of your nurses, your turnover rate will greatly decrease. Appreciate when they do work hard instead of expecting them to work more and More hours and adding more On call

I worked at Coram for more than 3 years

    Pros

Having my own patients and developing a relationship with them

    Cons

Management has no understanding of what the field nurses actually do, they do not care about the quality of care the patients deserve, only care about their "productivity" numbers. Management has no organizational skills whatsoever, and has a profound distrust of nurses.

    Advice to Management

Quality of nursing care can not be rated by numbers or "productivity".
