I worked at Coram full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Wonderful patients & Interesting cases. Many learning opportunities.

    Cons

Extremely Poor NURSING Management. Initial orientation Incredibly inadequate. Most employees are Caring Team members however the certifiable Craziness calling the shots drives the Best employees away. So many RN’s frustrated with lack of organisation on the Inside & blatant favouritism while sacrificing true quality patient care out in the field many left shaking their heads in disbelief. In the end I too left....

I have been working at Coram full-time for more than a year

      Pros

OK pay Opportunity for OT Busy so the time flies

      Cons

Way understaffed, Bad management, High turnover

      Advice to Management

staff is always overworked and under-appreciated, thus the high turnover rate. the demands the company puts on an employee is too much and often times un-manageable for one person, yet they expect it to be done. only cares about metrics which can jeopardize patient safety!

I worked at Coram full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

Develop long lasting relationships with patients and their families

      Cons

Management, high turnover rate, on call requirements, work/life balance (you will basically work 2 week's straight when you are assigned on call for a weekend, it's just added on top of your existing weekly patient load), poor communication between departments, long hours (often you will work a full day then be on call all evening/night, many times did 14-16 hours -any after hour appts, like late discharges from hospital...

I worked at Coram full-time for more than 5 years

      Pros

      1hr lunch’s breaks, nice coworkers

      Cons

No work-life balance if you have small children in daycare this isn’t the job for you. You never leave on time. Business is growing. Departments are short staffed. Under paid for the amount of work the company wants you to do. Unorganized lack of communication. Management leaves team hanging. Very stressful environment

        I worked at Coram full-time

        Pros

        Pay went to direct deposit

        Cons

Manager who gives false and twisted evaluations of hard working staff in order to drive them out. Constant negative comments that create a very intense toxic environment throughout. The worst attitude for management I have ever known! What a mess.

        Advice to Management

Give more than a crumb of positive feedback to hard working staff. Get rid of the blame game and actually learn how to communicate with your staff. Coram was derived from the heart. Take it back to having one and not just about how much $ the company makes. Care a little.

I have been working at Coram full-time for less than a year

        Pros

        little supervision in my role

        Cons

Benefits are extremely unaffordable, Management is rude, nasty, and ineffective and will tell you they don't know when asking for advice, extremely high turnover rate, patients will receive wrong/missing shipments of m edications or supplies, company is getting ran in the ground due to having the wrong people in high positions, it's not what you know here, it's who you know.

        Advice to Management

Corporate should speak to the employees, instead of Management who will only lie to cover themselves by saying everything is fine, but in reality people don't last six months before they find another job! Corporate should run this location until the right people are hired, or they will be shut down because everyone is quitting

I worked at Coram full-time for more than a year

        Pros

The only pro to working here, is realizing there is better for you out there then this place.

        Cons

Work life balance is non-existent. They have mandatory overtime that keeps getting extended because employees leave and they have no one else to do the work. Employee burn-out here is a serious problem at this company. The quotas are unrealistic and unhealthy. Breaks and lunches are within slotted windows of time that must be approved on a daily basis by management. Due to the volume of work and the quota expectation,...

        Advice to Management

We are not a number, we are a human being with a life outside of work. Treat your employees better or watch them leave. Stop wasting your time on training new employees and create better management with realistic employee goals. Shame on all of you for being so inept at taking care of your staff.
