    Pros

    Management is laid back. Good about letting you get sleep sometimes... (read cons).

    Cons

    Most companies tell you to treat your position at the company as if it were your own business. However you cannot control what other people do I.E. damage equipment, or start a job and not do the necessary paperwork. Most people start this job as entry level because they are so desperate to find petroleum inspectors, they don't get any formal training and this leads to jobs being very unorganized and the more experienced...

    Advice to Management

    Show more respect to veteran employee's. Implement proper training programs for new employees instead of putting them into the field when they are not ready which causes more stress on the current employees and the staff in general.

    You meet some of the best people here most are very supportive and there to help rather it’s your HR team all the way down to you local manager. They hire you knowing nothing and teach you everything possible to get you out in the field to do your job safely. Everyday is presented with something new, challenges you to use your brain and actually think a little, you learn something new everyday and if you apply your self...

    Talking about a micromanagement breeding hub!! Is what is a turn off to some of the few good guys that’s come to work at Saybolt. I know people say that you will have the same problems where you go but here is by far the worst. They don’t believe in any form of properly communicating with no one they let these so call assist mangers make decisions with out any approval.what makes it worst is that they have every form...

    Advice to Management

    Invest in your management team send them to a form of Communication training. Come up with a correct fix instead of just assigning a new position. Focus on the target areas that we are lacking. Companies don’t run people off Managers do!!!!

    40 hr pay week, easy physical worl

    Cons

    Lies about how much you will travel, constant threats from management, you are responsible for EVERYTHING, they will force you to train on procedures that they refuse to follow......They will constantly threaten you over overtime pay and expenses.....and gladly hold up your pay for any reason

    Grow up and hire people, Tell people the truth about how much they will travel

    Accounting office is in Houston so issues sometimes present a challenge with the time zone difference..
