I have been working at CoreLogic full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good work/life balance. Strive to recognize employees. Industry leader in property analytics.

    Cons

Poor career opportunities with little room for advancement. Poor company communication. Compensation is lacking and even frozen at times. Management more interested in the bottom line and not willing to hire additional help for overworked employees.

    Advice to Management

Need to do better at budget management. Posting recording earnings but freezing wages and laying off employees gives poor perception of senior management. Pay your employees what they are worth and focus on workload balance to prevent employees from burning out.

I have been working at CoreLogic full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Flexible schedule
    Decent pay and Bonus
    Unlimited vacation
Some really good managers and conworkers
Travel is nice and expensing nice dinners is always a perk

    Cons

No merit increases in 2017 and layoffs(again)
    Outdated technology
Constant shuffling of groups (4 managers in 18 months)
    No work from home
Not much room for growth, seem to hire externally and not promote
No training and limited or missing documentation
Also some really bad managers who have big ideas but no roadmap or direction and makes me wonder how they got to that level

I could go on, but I am currently interviewing for new opportunities and don't want to dampen my mood by being negative.

    Advice to Management

IDAP needs to be a success, if not I suspect more layoffs and maybe even becoming a takeover target. A lot of revenue comes from public record and we charge more money than our competitors and some are not happy and leaving. I'm not going to pretend to be a expert in all the inter workings of the company. But in my role we support clients and a lot mention going one of our competitors all the time.

Also, 2016 was a record year and in 2017 merit increases were suspended and people were laid off. But when you look at Morningstar you can see that the executives still received their stock options and many of them have millions in CLGX stock alone. I know they work hard, but if you are not going to give a merit increase to someone who makes 100k maybe you shouldn't get shares. Not apples to apples, but with raising medical cost the 3% raise could at least offset the premium.

With that, I end my rant and am crossing my fingers that I get a new job soon as I can sense a shift in the office over the past few weeks. Someone actually said on the floor that they wish it was them that been laid off and been paid to look for a new job and collect unemployment...

I worked at CoreLogic full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Many of the people working at CoreLogic are high performers. Good place to start a career if you move on quickly.

    Cons

Outdated managerial styles. No real ability to identify and promote talent. Does not pay market value for positions and qualifications.

    Advice to Management

Empower individual business units. Consider that you get what you pay for when offering below market compensation. Evaluate the non monetary impacts of out-sourcing.

    Pros

Large customers with deep relationships, 500+ products in all their holdings.

    Cons

CoreLogic is made up from a lot of acquisitions. There are a lot of disparate parts and point solutions, not an elegant simple solution for enterprise customers.

    Advice to Management

Deliver the one CoreLogic solution to better able deliver solutions, data and drive more value out of the data and analytics.
