I worked at Corinthian Colleges full-time

    Pros

decent salary for a private organization and higher than most organizations for the same position. Training and onboarding was fun and engaging since we were the first employees working at the Corinthian Colleges' Everest College. Good benefits, team oriented environment and multiple departments (always cross-functioning). The interaction with clients was good for the most part because there are always new things to learn from them.

    Cons

Upper management were selfish and unorganized. They condescend lower level employees and do anything they can to keep you stagnant in horrible positions. High turnover rates especially for admissions, education, and student finance department. During my time there, someone was fired for telling a student that financial aid is guaranteed while he was on the phone with them. A director who did not like the employee was the one who contacted hr and reported him. Many incidents like this occurred there, putting employees in constant fear and in search of jobs all the time. There was so much hostility and dysfunction due to upper management abusing company time (because they are salaried) and rude employees gossiping and trying to get people fired. Another issue was career services performing poorly, getting paid higher salaries than some other departments, people calling out, quitting, and not placing students with jobs while other departments were overworked. My time there was both positive & mostly negative

    Advice to Management

No advice needed because the organization has dissolved. Thank goodness!!

    Pros

Work from home. Flexibility of schedule.

    Cons

Company no longer exists. Faculty judged on student attrition. Admissions enrolls online students without qualifying that they have access to a computer or the internet. Some don't speak English well and are not put through developmental courses first.

    Advice to Management

Do not base your faculty's success on retention of marginal students
