I worked at Cornerstone OnDemand full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-Great team and colleagues; everyone seems to get along and work well together
-Great benefits and the unlimited PTO is encouraged to be used
-Flexible work hours as long as you get your work done

    Cons

-Management plays favorites and is cliquish
-A few people have been let go recently out of the blue; management is cleaning house and morale is down

    Advice to Management

Be aware the way you are handling "straightening out the department" is greatly impacting your team

I have been working at Cornerstone OnDemand full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Amazing smart people, great culture, inclusive, fun, rewards good team performance regularly with great incentives (sports games, team trips, etc), encourages growth, continual training, management encourages feedback to get better, encourages both vertical and horizontal movement in the company. Up for promotion/pay increase every 6 months.

    Cons

    - Very tough job: wouldn't be worth it without the culture, people, perks/incentives, and ability to move in the organization.
    - HOURLY PAY is discouraging: as a talent management company they should know better. This is the only position in the company on hourly pay to my knowledge (also it's low pay for location, but pay increases are possible every 6 months with good performance).

    Advice to Management

    - Keep encouraging employees to explore the company and get to where they want to be. It gets people passionate and in the right role.
    - Get rid of hourly pay! If you hire right and have a good culture (which you do) there's no need for this. To take advantage of all the great things the company offers, employees need time to do the trainings and work on cross-departmental projects.
    - Possibly implement Google's 20% time policy.
    - Management is awesome. Keep doing a great job!

I have been working at Cornerstone OnDemand full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great work, great developers, good pay.

    Cons

IT breaking access, VPN, Email, access, taking away admin access from my machine. It. As a remote employee, this makes working impossible when they decide to change VPN access and you can't work.

    Advice to Management

Make IT focus on keeping things working rather than pushing out updates.
Make them test something before pushing it out. A prime example is VPN and Email changes.

I worked at Cornerstone OnDemand full-time

    Pros

Great benefits, beautiful office, great HH, great working environment

    Cons

Most people I know are miserable at CSOD, (except for management and sales).
They like to flamboyantly show off their office and benefits so that they can low-ball potential hires.

I have been working at Cornerstone OnDemand full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Cornerstone employees truly feel they can make an impact in the world with the work they do in helping people realize their potential. Cornerstone is a progressive company that does a great job extending trust to their employees and enlists them in shaping the culture. It's a generous company that does a very good job supporting employees to find balance in a very fast paced environment.

    Cons

Continuous growth often creates an environment of catch up which many of us thrive on. Be prepared to sprint when needed.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the quarterly addresses, the more communication the better.

I have been working at Cornerstone OnDemand full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    -Free Breakfast
    -Free Lunch on Fridays
-Free Lunch from time to time
-Flex hours (Some days I can work from home as long as the work gets done)
    -Full Health Benefits
-Free underground parking (or get paid $130 a month to give it up)
    -Free dress

    Cons

-You must be a self-starter. My during my first week of on-boarding I felt lost without much direction. My position, in particular, is new and I'm still understanding my duties. Don't know yet if it possible to transfer within the company.
-If you don't have prior knowledge of Cornerstone software, it will be a long and hard learning curve.
    -No small team building activities.

    Advice to Management

If its possible, mirror a lot of what Google does for its employees for benefits, culture, and small team culture.

I have been working at Cornerstone OnDemand full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

PTO accrues very fast, many holidays off, birthday off

    Cons

My manager made me work weekends to make up for the time I was away on vacation...using my hard earned PTO.

    Advice to Management

Let your employees live their lives! I have no life other than work and I am punished for trying to enjoy my time off.

I worked at Cornerstone OnDemand (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people there were fantastic. Well educated from top tier universities. Awesome environment. Close to the coast.

    Cons

I graduated from CSUN, not a top tier school, maybe that is why they didn't allow me to go full time. I already had relevant experience in a certain job that I applied for WITHIN THE SAME COMPANY I did not get the job.
