I have been working at Corporate Fitness Works full-time

    Pros

Depending on your site a lot of opportunity to become creative with programming. Free use of the fitness centers. Hours of employment allows you to get personal things accomplished that most would have to wait for the weekend to accomplish. Full benefits package. They offer $240 educational benefits.

    Cons

Where do I even begin? Their salary is a joke! If you are fresh out of college and living with your parents then the salary is ideal. It doesn't matter what degrees or certifications you have all HFS start at the same salary.
They offer benefits, however the cost is high even for a single person. The company requires so much of their employees and gives little incentive to stay, that's why they cannot keep employees, there's a reason they are ALWAYS hiring.

Even though they offer sick time, it's frowned upon if you call out sick. If you are wanting to use your vacation time, you have to request time off 2 months in advance to see if a regional fitness specialist is available to cover the days off.
It's a lot of pettiness that goes on. If you're "liked" and you suck up then you are treated differently.

    Advice to Management

My advice to management is to change your business practices. There's a reason why your company cannot keep its employees. There is no incentive for your employees. You require so much yet give very little in return.

Your company lacks any diversity in middle or C level management. For the 29 years in its existence it still looks like a company of the 20 years ago - no diversity. Your business practices need to be revamped and there needs to be better incentives for your employees, not just upper management.

I worked at Corporate Fitness Works full-time

    Pros

Autonomy, Decent pay, Great schedule, No Weekends, Fair review process

    Cons

Benefits are sub par, corp doesn't have a severance plan for long time employees, Strongly suggested you do extra work in committees but then never get chances to advance your career.

    Pros

Some pros include wonderful coworkers, fun and safe environment, positive work environment, great pay and lessons learned that can apply to any job.

I have been working at Corporate Fitness Works part-time

    Pros

Management, work-life balance, communication between all levels of employees

    Cons

There has been a lot of turnover at my site. I do not think this is truly representative of the company as a whole, however.
