I worked at Corporate Fitness Works part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Some pros include wonderful coworkers, fun and safe environment, positive work environment, great pay and lessons learned that can apply to any job.

    Cons

The cons include limited hours for a yoga teacher. 1-3 classes a week. Also, I lived far away so the commute was long.

I have been working at Corporate Fitness Works full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Hours, M-F, great team, supervisors are great, professional and hardworking people, get to still teach some fitness classes, it's a different task everyday, holiday and vacation time

    Cons

    Pay, health benefits for families

    Advice to Management

Increase pay--- put yourself in your staffs shoes. Could you live off less than $40000 a year?

I have been working at Corporate Fitness Works full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Fair benefits package
Generous stipend for continuing professional education and certifications
Amount of annual leave that increases based on years of service (10 days for less than 3 years, 15 for 3-5 years, 20 for 5+ years)
The upper-midlevel supervisors that I've interacted with are well-intentioned and supportive of their direct reports.
    Great as an entry opportunity.

    Cons

Senior management has a habit of promising the world to current and prospective clients, and writing checks that the rank and file are left to cash. SAMs and potential new business team have no problem assigning more and more work for the sake of keeping the contract for another cycle, while on-site staff are worked to the bone for the same meager pay. The company fancies itself an innovative company that values its employees and has a sincere internal culture, but it's completely hallow. Little transparency. Little to no opportunity for advancement past program manager. Exercising a work/life balance is contingent upon whether you can get someone to cover your shift.

    Advice to Management

Make sincere and sizable efforts to let your team leaders believe they are part of your vision. If you wish to reduce turnover, your workforce needs to be compensated fairly for the wide range of responsiblities they have, including the increasingly unnecessary deliverables. If we're not happy to come to work, memberships (and some clients) notice.Streamline reports and other deliverables to maximize impact to the client. Your team should not have to document the same data in 3 different reports or spreadsheets and save it in 2 different places.

I have been working at Corporate Fitness Works full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The company has great hours, they provide continuing education funds to achieve certifications, they encourage a work-life balance with several paid days off, paid sick days and paid holidays

    Cons

The pay is not too great but that is the nature of the business and there is virtually no room for advancement pass program manager

I have been working at Corporate Fitness Works full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

We have a great company culture that pushes staff to be engaged and inspired. The company supports it's staff and really stands behind what we do in the field. The account managers are supportive and continuously provide opportunities for more experience. Opportunities are available for those willing to work for them.

    Cons

-Low pay (Due to the industry not so much the company)
-Ability to take time off is cumbersome (sick days are literally non-existent in order to keep facility running)
-With the new blending of companies many policies and procedures are still being put into place, and communication to staff has been challenging

    Advice to Management

Keep up the culture pushes and the honest communication with staff. Rewards/Bonuses for staff going above and beyond no matter how small really do make a difference.

    Pros

    Great people and good benefits.

    Cons

I didn't feel like there was a lot of opportunity for growth, unless I was open to moving to another state. They had few client accounts in my area/region. Compensation was okay.
