I have been working at Corporate Reimbursement Services full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The company is doing very well as the solutions that Motus brings to a company have a very strong ROI. The implementation and customer service team are top notch an customers seem very satisfied. Due to the company growing there is a good amount of opportunities to get promoted. It feels like there 1 promotion every week!

The location is right in Boston and the office is brand new and very nice. There is good team camaraderie and events that bring different team members together from other departments. For example, there is a fun Fitbit challenge going on right and the winning team gets a full paid gym membership to any gym for 12 months.

Finally, the company really focuses on developing the employees and is very transparent. The biggest example is the quarterly QBR's each department does and shares with everyone. It's refreshing to see that each department owns their responsibilities and shares with the company on how they are doing.

    Cons

Overall, there are not too many cons. The on boarding process could be improved and has been over the last couple of months.

    Advice to Management

keep being transparent and focused are developing your employees

I worked at Corporate Reimbursement Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Excellently positioned in its the industry
    - Good coworkers/work environment (though, as I understand it, all the good ones left around the same time I did, and for the same reasons; see Cons)

    Cons

    - Low pay compared to the industry.
    - Blatantly unfair performance reviews with the purpose of giving out low raises and bonuses, despite the company being amazingly profitable. I know someone who saw the spreadsheet for who got what raises, and it was strongly weighted toward the executives.
    - Very little communication from senior management.
    - What communication there is is often lies.
    - Your job will be outsourced to India, Mexico, or Eastern Europe as soon as they find out how to do it with an "acceptable" decrease in effectiveness.
    - Many of the new executives are never seen doing any actual work.
    - No advancement in sight.
    - When the new executives arrived, they cleaned house, firing: the entire IT department (remember, this is a tech company), the most senior developer, and all the existing executives. These were popular, competent people who got edged out so the executives could hire their friends.
    - These new executives were all hired from ConnectEDU. Read the reviews on ConnectEDU to get an idea of where this company is likely headed.

    Advice to Management

Gregg, fire those ConnectEDU jokers and go back to basics, or you'll never keep good employees.

I have been working at Corporate Reimbursement Services full-time

    Pros

There are still some great people left, but after the ConnectEdu management took over, people started leaving. The compensation is average. The new office is beautiful! If you have to work over because things have gone horribly wrong (often) you can get free dinner. Being in a niche market, the company's financial future is bright.

    Cons

Expect no chance for real promotion as there are still several cronies of the upper management waiting for a job after ConnectEdu closed its doors. Most of the really smart people have already left, including some that scored the highest on the yearly review curve! Things seem to be constantly going wrong requiring immediate fixes, but no effort is made to prevent them in the future.

    Advice to Management

Ask Gregg (the owner and former CEO) how he attracted so many great and loyal people before you came, and try to follow his advice.

I have been working at Corporate Reimbursement Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Fantastic, driven, and intelligent co-workers and responsive lower management
    - Flexible scheduling with the opportunity to work from home
    - Okay benefits with a lot of PTO

    Cons

    - Unfair HR scoring system that harbors resentment and below average "compensation adjustments"
    - Time tracking for all development projects used for money tracking provokes anxiety
    - Significant, disruptive organizational changes that saw many key people disappear without any notice and without any indication of appreciation for their service
    - Management seriously out of touch with the company dynamic, is almost never is in the office, and is fiercely arrogant and narcissistic
    - Management clearly trying to put up a "facade" to make the company look more valuable without changing a single deficiency
    - Constant fear of job outsourcing

    Advice to Management

    Leave.

I have been working at Corporate Reimbursement Services full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Time off is for the most part respected and occasional company events are fun. The company is financially stable, having a profitable business model. Coworkers are the best part going to work and are great to network with when they leave.

    Cons

The management team is simply out to fill their pockets as much as they can. They are a group that has worked (squandered) together for a while and have little interest in the opinions or results of staff.

    Advice to Management

Fire Craig. He is a cancer that knows nothing about how to run and scale a company or how to treat people with respect.

    Pros

This place has energy, electricity and an overall exciting feeling. There are a large number of young, smart, flexible people that are fun to be around and exciting to work with and work for.

For a company that strives to fully serve the mobile worker, Motus practices what it preaches. For most roles, as long as you get your work done, you can do it from anywhere, especially if you work in technology.

There is a strong focus on company culture. The offices are beautiful. The company provides many comforting perks (flexible hours in the office, free snacks, frequent free meals, free beverages - adult beverages - after hours ) and has a great benefits plan. There is a real sense of collaboration.

Leadership in technology, HR, sales, client services, project management, product and marketing seem mostly like-minded, and are all working together for a common goal. These are all good people - some young, smart and driven, the others more experienced, smart and driven. Overall it is a great group, that understands the vision and continually works to move it forward.

    Cons

This company has limited cons. Currently there are ongoing projects to expand feature sets and update some of the original systems. While there are some pain points around this, the truth of the matter is that the company is making the investment to add these features and modernize some of the older systems and has great team, with a great leader in place to do so.

    Advice to Management

Stay the course. We are on the right track. Keep allowing our great people to do what they do best.

I have been working at Corporate Reimbursement Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Few pros, I guess that it's in the greater Boston area is mediocre. You get a keycard to the office building. Occasional office party. Generally young environment (not to be confused with a progressive, Google-esque).

    Cons

Low pay, unless you're senior management. Within the last few years, every original employee besides the man up top has been let go. I've spoken with young colleagues who were interested in moving up in the company when an available position opened, however management brought in new, more "experienced" talent. The company gives off a facade that everyone is happy and things are going well (financially, they are) but it's a cut throat place to work.
