    Pros

Just started at Corptech and the environment is amazing! Thank you for this opportunity

    Cons

Nothing yet that I can see

    Advice to Management

You have great leader as a general manager and sales team is awesome

    Pros

They have a great training program that revolves around putting the customer first. It is a very challenging job with tremendous upside if you are willing to put in the effort. Also, high performers receive timely promotions and raises. I myself have received a hefty salary increase in my first year.

    Cons

If you are not willing to commit yourself to the training provided you will not succeed. If you do not work hard at prospecting or treat prospects fairly you will fail.

    Advice to Management

Keep investing in your employees and make sure you are constantly recognizing successes.

I have been working at Corporate Technologies (Minneapolis) full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I've been with the company for a few years and u see lots of bad reviews. The fact is, if you are willing to put in some effort and work for sales, you can make a good living here. If you are an order taker and want to sit and wait for your phone to ring you won't last long. This is a competitive industry so it is up to you to find business. I have steadily increased my yearly income and the salary + commission structure has improved each year.

    Cons

The downside is that there is no guarantee. But that is the nature of sales. The managers will do their best to help but it is all up to the individual to make it happen.

    Advice to Management

Keep supporting your people and provide as many tools as possible. Stay open to new ideas and different styles of sales. And make sure the infrastructure is there to keep good clients happy.

I have been working at Corporate Technologies (Minneapolis) full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great company. One of the top IT firms. Some of the best sales training in the industry. Most people who succeed here go on to do great things!

    Cons

Not a ton of growth potential unless you're a super star. Expect to stay maybe 2 or 3 years and find another vertical move.

    Advice to Management

You're doing fantastic. Management has come so far over the last year in listening to employees and treating them out to lunch, baseball games, and a great overall appreciation.

I have been working at Corporate Technologies (Minneapolis) full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Decent base salary
    - Not overly demanding as far as sales goal

    Cons

    - Unprofessionalism to the max (starting with senior management on down to people hired)
    - Turnover is far too common
    - Back office doesn't follow through on sales made by the salespeople
    - Management has NO idea how to hire, train or develop an employee

    Advice to Management

    - Hire a new sales manager (one of them is good, the other is NOT)
    - New sales people should be introduced to the tech manager and account managers
    - Put more stock in your account managers! The sales people ALWAYS tell customers it takes 9 months to really start profiting from a new customer. It is the Account managers who make that happen.

I worked at Corporate Technologies (Minneapolis) full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The management team is a good group of professionals and I really enjoyed working with them. Some of the IT employees are experts at their product set and provide a good level of support when needed. Office is very relaxed with a small amount of micro-managing.

    Cons

Technology Advantage CAN be a good product for SOME companies, but finding them using their customer database can be a nightmare. The company suffers from high turnover and even some of the companies that you prospect into will tell you this. No sales training. Being a TA sales rep is a turn and burn job. Find the needles in the hay stack or find the door. No room for advancement.

    Advice to Management

Computer Products and Resources used to be a company that earned brand recognition and made a name for itself and its services. Right now the company is treading water. Maybe you should focus more on your VAR services instead of going after a diluted services pool.
