I worked at Correct Care Solutions full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay, benefits, staff, management, loved working here. Best job ever. Moved and had to resign my position unfortunately. Great place.

    Cons

I don't really have anything bad to say about working here except that we were short staffed but that had to do with the new hires learning that a prison environment was not for them so they ended up quitting quickly.

    Advice to Management

    Great job!!

I worked at Correct Care Solutions full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pay was okay and they gave you tons of overtime if you wanted it.

    Cons

Total lack of leadership. We never had a boss for well over a year. Totally over worked meaning understaffed and worked enough for 3 people. No recognition for all of the hard work. They had what they considered what we needed to accomplish but literally no way to do it because not enough nurses. People got fired for trying to do their unrealistic goals so when something happened the nurses where to blame. Management not there at all for the nurses who literally busted their butts to run everything. They just abandoned us. When horrible illegal things happened which jeapardized safety of fellow nurses nothing was done at all and no discipline because I was told they are too understaffed to fire the nurse. Was NOT reported to nursing board. The nurses were forced to work outside of their scope to try and meet their goals ....

    Advice to Management

Train managers and nursing leaders so you can be on same page. Hire more people. Stop killing your good nurses who are trying to help you. Higher pay. More recognition for nurses that pull extra shifts to help out. Have management who actually know what it means to be a nurse. You can't have some desk croonie telling nurses how to do a job you know nothing about. Get good nurses. Keep them by paying them, respecting their opinions, work together to build a great team, train trainers who will throughout put each new hire through actual training and not just a stupid check list. Real training

    Pros

Focus in on nursing; autonomy; fast-paced.

    Cons

Dedicated employees appear to be disposable to management in favor of newcomers. Short memory of past contributions; subjective when attempting to address issues.

    Advice to Management

It's very disappointing to contribute to the team when left feeling like a free agent. Discouraged and unrecognized for efforts and it never being enough is a contradiction to the core values promoted in the handbook.
