Pros

If you love to work overtime fore bigger paychecks, you're in for a lot of available hours.

They treat you like cattle instead of appreciated employees. We were often referred to as "warm bodies" necessary per their contract to keep the prison running. Treatment was so deplorable, no one wanted to come in on any given day. They overlooked officers who were grossly negligent, and obviously conducting questionable and outright immoral behavior...even exemplifying some of these individuals meanwhile, the... hardworking honest, and moral employees went unrecognized and criticized the most. Tons of bullying, discrimination and sexual/verbal harassment was commonplace. I had a specific incident that raised eyebrows to the legality of the situation, and when i brought it up to upper management, i was told not to worry, that individual is "always like that" and not to get to concerned as the upper management swept that incident under the rug never to be heard from again. Complaints of poor working conditions ignored. I dont revommend this company in the least! !

Advice to Management

Dont prioritize cost cutting about the safety, health, security and wellbeing of your staff! Acknowledge those who do their jobs well by the actual job standards, not by seniority and who is friends with who. Look into paying liveable wages, as the work is not only dangerous, but extremely time consuming as to take away much of the precious lives of the employees to have to spend nearly every waking hour at these... facilities. Make sure there are legitimate training programs in place for all of the positions as of right now, the training process is nonexistent and everyone is learning willy nilly. Communication is key, dont let things be swept under rugs, address situations in a timely manner, communicate and be honest and open.
