I worked at Cortech full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There's is not one good thing about this company. If zero stars was an option that's what I would have chosen. Do not work here, RUN!!! The turnover rate is very high. Don't believe in the smoke and mirrors.

    Cons

This is a horrible company to work for. They do not respect their employees at all. They want you to do more work for less pay and believe me when I say it is not worth it. They make recruiters and account managers pay FUTA and SUTA taxes from their commission checks every month when the employer should be paying it. I'm pretty sure this is illegal because it is not being reported to the IRS. Every recruiter and account manager has proof of this illegal activity.

    Advice to Management

Karma is going to come back around when you least expect. And the IRS will be next.

    Pros

A reference check company has been unable to get any response back from Cortec except to tell me to request in my own writing the authorization to provide the reference. I went to the local office to do do and i was told by a RUDE employee that they have no idea and its not their fault. I never said anything to indicate it was. I told him i was in a hurry so skip the blame lecture and just let me know if he could fax it to corporate. He said it would take a week or more.

Great so as i am waiting for this the company running the background check doesnt know its being held up by incompetent and rude people.

Sure glad im not with Cortec anymore. I tried calling corp headquarters and you cannot get to a person.
    What a joke.

    Cons

RUDE PEOPLE who dont care. When I walked into the office the employee was talking on the phone with a client about one of their employees and the fact that he had done something wrong actually saying his full name and what he did. If I were a prospective customer I wouldn't do business with a company that talks on speaker phone in front of strangers about their clients and employees. Thought it was very rude. Employee he was talking about would not be hired by me because of what I overheard. Unbelievably unprofessional.

    Advice to Management

Talk to people instead of hiding behind phones that never get answered.

    Pros

Everyone is a team player. If you have a question or need help, there is no shortage of people trying to help. Corporate employees, Sr. Vice Presidents, Area Managers are all there to help. I know the slogan "like a good neighbor" is already taken, but we have an amazing group of tight - knit coworkers who cheer with you, celebrate with you but will cry with you if needed. They all care because this is more like a family atmosphere as opposed to work!!

    Cons

    I don`t really have any

    Advice to Management

    Pros

I didn't really deal with them. I knew someone who got the ball rolling for me, just goes to show it is all about who you know and not what you know.

    Cons

All online zero human contact or interaction other than three emails to fill out paperwork. Temporary position but at least they provide you with a foot in the door.

    Advice to Management

I don't really have any can't say I approve or disapprove of the way you operate because I didn't meet or talk to you.

    Pros

The only, in my opinion is that you can depend on getting your pay check on time. If you leave a message you can not be sure if it will be returned.

    Cons

I was never informed about any benefits when I started and now I can not enroll. Returning your phone calls would be great.

    Advice to Management

To Make sure every new hire is informed that they will have benefits if they enroll 30 days. Even though though you will not have benefits until 60 days of employment. I told my recruiter told me that the benefits were something i did not need to be concerned about..

    Pros

you will get paid on time each week, HR staff is helpful and prompt.
You will generally be left alone once you begin your contract

    Cons

The Benefits are horrible to non-existent. You will not get paid holidays, no paid vacation, no bonus.. no matter how long you are on contract. The sad thing is that other staffing/recruiter companies do offer sick days, vacation, etc.

The medical benefits here are an absolute joke. They actually advertise that the proudly offer MEC plans which are exactly that ..minimal

    Advice to Management

take care of the people of whom you profit from
