    Pros

You can some what make your own schedule.

    Cons

First when you join you realize that you are in an inimical environment that destroys any chance of your having an auspicious time while employed. Due to the bankruptcy, they hired a hegemonic authoritarian who is ambiguous with what he expects from you and will make factitious stories based on a scuttlebutt that will try to knock you down, in character and business. Trying to be authentic, exact or precise, will only...

Hello, I'm sorry to hear your experience working for Cosi wasn't up to your expectations. I would like to differ on growth opportunities and employee welfare. At Cosi we value our partners and want to provide them opportunities to evolve in their career with Cosi in a hospitable ...

I have been working at Così part-time for more than a year

      Pros

Nice area, easy to get to; right across the street there are various metro bus stops and metro rail stations down the street

      Cons

Because this downtown Cosi location is centered around office buildings it was often very slow during nights and weekends. Slow business = less work hours

      Advice to Management

My advice to management is to schedule less people (staff) during the slow periods and to schedule more staff during lunch (busiest) hours

I worked at Così full-time for more than a year

      Pros

Upbeat atmosphere, considerably better than fast food, simple food prep and service model provides a great opportunity for entry level people, flexible scheduling for students

      Cons

Unmotivated longstanding managers drown your chance for advancement as Cosi appears to not fire subpar people short of extreme offenses, nature of business provides for unanticipated last minute schedule changes (on/off)

      Advice to Management

Complaining about your disdain for your job whilst being a lazy oaf is highly uninspiring to up-and-coming employees, the company would improve with removing such people from payroll

      I worked at Così

      Pros

Great place to learn, very fast pace prepares you for anything and makes u the best you can be! They really strive to have the best customer service. They have a fairly new CEO R.J Dourney who has great plans for the company if anyone can build this company he can!! Cosi is always looking to develop partners into management/ shift leaders, there really is alot of room to advance.

      Cons

Long shifts for managers I workes 16 hour shifts often. That being said, i did not have to work that long however I am the type of manager who likes to make sure my staff is setup before I go home. Labor goals are hard to reach if you dont spend alot(90%)of time on the floor actually working. They have changed concepts way to much. Cosi takes to long to get rid of bad managers,...

I have been working at Così full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

      - The company will pay for good experience. - Two weeks vacation within 90 days - Full medical with in 90 days - Can advance quickly with in the company.

      Cons

      - You have to negotiate a good salary from day one. Salary increases after hire are very low 1 - 1.5% annually - Over the last two - three years the company as undergone some major restructuring issues and still face many up hill battles. There has been two CEO's in the last two years, recent released there VP, and let go a host of regional and store managers. - Lack of self-identity, Cosi...

      Advice to Management

Training, Training, Training and more Training. Don't let our MIT's go into a store unprepared. Everyone is overwhelmed; from the TGM's down to Shift leaders. We need to get our Identity back! We need to be Cosi again, not a giant yellow box that tries to compete with Panera & Corner Bakery. RETHINK our menu options... and stop putting out LTO's without all the proper training and media!!!! Seriously.

      I worked at Così

      Pros

The food is decent and you get half off when you're working.

      Cons

Because it was a franchise, Cosi was operated very poorly. The owners care about nothing but money. There were no incentives or bonuses, which were promised at the beginning of the store's opening. I worked there for two years and outlasted 12 managers and countless other employees, never called out without finding my own replacement, and was one of the best workers there,...
