I worked at Cosentino North America full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Paid sick and vacation time. When the Spaniards leave for there 1 month vacation in the Summer, you can actually get some work accomplished.

    Cons

This a family owned company which promotes a meritocracy. Which means no room for growth unless you are tight with the family or you brown noise your way to a position your not qualified for. HR is in complete shambles. The turnover in the department is very high. DPO's (Bonuses) are not always paid in full and there is always an excuse as to why things are not paid out. The...

    Advice to Management

Too many departments have there own agendas which leads internal fighting. The communication is terrible among the Spaniards and Americans. Invest in your human capital. Give more support to your sales team. Especially Stone Systems. Spaniards really do not understand that side of the business.

I worked at Cosentino North America full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Great staff, a handful of managers willing and able to assist in any way needed. VP's are approachable and helpful, although over loaded.

    Cons

Far too many managers have absolutely no clue about SOPs or how their staff completes daily tasks or reaches weekly goals. Complete lack of training for any position applied for, so applicants better actually know how to do the job they're applying for. The training you'll receive here will only be about the history of the Cosentino family and how they came to be successful in the stone industry. If you're lucky you'll...

    Advice to Management

The brand means nothing if you can't keep good employees to continue the work. If an employee, or multiple employees come to you about an issue with management over and over again, fire the manager. Stop listening to idle gossip. We're not children. Final word, how about holding management accountable for his mistakes and lack of skill instead of continuing to fire good employees just because he is an excellent suck...

I have been working at Cosentino North America full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Location is the only Pro

    Cons

No room for growth, no recognition for hard work, you are constantly over ruled on decision by the office in Spain, everyone tries to be there own manager

    Advice to Management

stop micromanaging employees and they may prosper rather than going thru employees every quarter of the year because they are not per Spain standards
