I have been working at Cosentino’s Food Stores part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I am a recent college grad and have worked here the past year or so. They worked with my schedule to where I only worked a day or two during the week and when I came back for holidays/breaks. Great people to work with and for.

    Cons

I have nothing negative to say.

I have been working at Cosentino’s Food Stores full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The department heads are genuinely very good at working to improve employees with the limited resources they have been given. Also, my coworkers make the time enjoyable at work with the many personalities and stories they represent. Additionally, the everyday/repeat customers who have invested some of their lives in me are what keep me there.

    Cons

Corporate as a whole seems to show very little interest in employee. There is little sense of loyalty to those that work genuinely to improve the company.

  4. "Treats and compensates employees unfairly."

    Pros

Some of the other employees are super awesome.

    Cons

Doesn’t inform you when certain pay raises take effect in order to save money. Most management doesn’t really treat lower employees with respect at all. Expects you to shut up and not talk to anyone.

    Advice to Management

    Pay people what they deserve.

I have been working at Cosentino’s Food Stores full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Obvious team mentality, good employees overall, a lot of fun to be had.

Department managers and assistants seem competent and hours are designed to limit and eliminate possible overtime. Extra pay for working Sunday.
Front ent a great place to start for a first job, and possibilities abound for promotions, although some promotions are limited by employee age (there are specific tasks not allowed to be completed by anyone under 18 (OSHA regulations here).

    Cons

Some base employees are quite competent, but others migrate to back room areas to access their phones. Keeping an eye out for time wasters is important, and most do not abuse the use of phones during work hours.

    Advice to Management

Keep an eye out for promote-ability in staff, especially those that seem to be good performers. Do not over-evaluate what you think an employee may need. Far too many employees work a second job; there is a potential here for Cosentino's to pay a little more to contribute to a better quality of life for workers.
