    I worked at Costa full-time

    Pros

Free drinks while you work Staff discount card Made some good friends working there and had a fun team to work with Flexible shifts, was able to work well around what else I had going on Making coffees was really fun (when the store wasn't busy and you weren't rushed) Staff Christmas party was always fun

    Cons

Rude and difficult customers all the time Cleaning up after children who turn muffins into confetti When opening the store, we were expected to get there 20-30 minutes before the shift started to set up and we were NOT paid for this extra time Maximum of one 30 minute break, even if working a 10 or 11 hour shift (As the manager was a smoker, smokers however got to go out for several cigarettes a day and this wasn't...

I have been working at Costa part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Generous with holidays and time off. Nice atmosphere and ambiance among staff in general. Plenty of hours, willing to work around uni also. Free coffee!

    Cons

Honestly the only thing I could fault them on would be the pay, its enough for a college student, but at minimum wage you would struggle to live on it as a grown adult.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Costa full-time for more than a year

    Pros

very nice customers (most of the time), wages are ok too.

    Cons

A lot depends on a team and a store manager. The constantly changing roster can be a headache, very hard to get weekends off. Physically hard job - all day standing/walking, only 30 min lunch break, no tea breaks.
