Pros
Very affordable high quality health insurance benefits even for PT employees. Great for working parents who split up child care and need coverage. The key to succeeding at Costco is to work hard, have a good attitude and be nice to people. It's hard work and fasted paced, you have to be down for that to succeed.
Cons
At this warehouse you are required to work 5 days per week, even if you are PT at 24 or so hours. This means lots of 4-5 hour shifts rather than fewer 8 hour shifts which is tough for those who commute a long distance to work or have to cover day care.

Pros
80/20 health care was great for part timers. Some management was amazing!
Cons
When I was first hired during the onset of COVID, I was told Costco had an exceptionally low turnover rate. Back then, $15 was a lot and not many places were matching it. Fast forward to 2021 and everyone was. People were leaving left and right! Schedules were not given as promised and I was forced to screenshot my schedule every time it came out. I was thrown from one department to another, especially the food court. People came to work under the influence of drugs or alcohol yet there were no reprimands. That's how you know those were the favorites! You are FORCED to work 5 days a week for only 5 hours a day. That is an awful schedule and if you want to be a limited part time, you must be in school and work the weekends! NO FLEXIBILITY which is why I left.

Pros
-Make good money with great benefits (Part time employees get vacation, sick time and holiday pay) -Are able to move up fast if you are a harder worker -Pay overtime every Sunday
Cons
-schedule changes a lot and is not consistent but that is what you get when you work retail and for me it was not that big of a deal.

After working there for a few years . They find every excuse why you can’t move up . You take it to cooperate and they don’t do anything.

Pros
The only pros: great coworkers, and good perks AFTER you pass your probation period.
Cons
My review is based off of this specific location, I have heard other Costco's are great places to work at. This location is where Costco headquarters are, therefore management is always aware of what's going on and are always walking around. It's definitely a scapegoating environment. Management yells at supervisors, supervisors yell at workers. It is an extremely toxic environment, and they do not care about their employees at all. You're basically a working machine for Costco. Your schedule can change at any time, so a life-work balance is essentially nonexistent. They have this norm when you're on probation that "you have to" come in on your days off if they call you in, or come in earlier than your scheduled shift. Reason being: so that they keep you post-probation period. I would not recommend this location to anyone.
