I have been working at Costcutter Supermarkets full-time

    Pros

Exciting times, always changing and developing. A place to get valuable experience that will help you develop your career. Its not a place for people who like to take their time, kick back or potter around. You will be working hard but it is rewarding when you see your results in action.

    Cons

Can be chaotic and there is never an easy day at the office. The fast pace really isnt for everyone and people need to think hard about what they want from a role. If they want a 9-5 then a specialist or senior role at Costcutter is not for them.

    Advice to Management

Make the operation work well , sort out operational issues and keep the people motivated and committed. Dont become too corporate. Improve the car parking .

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Costcutter Supermarkets full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

plenty of hours up for grabs (even though you had no choice but to work them or risk being sacked from work)

    Cons

working around 80 hours a week for £3 per hour for a manager who was never there you were left to open and close the store everyday 6:30 am until 9:30pm even on sundays and you were a main keyholder and literally ran the whole store on your own stock and sales

    Advice to Management

get a revamp and check on your individual stores managers and workforces
