Small team in the US, good relationship with coworkers, flexible work schedule, excellent work life balance.
Cons
Salaries could be a little higher.

Great company for talented and creative scientists looking to party ways with academia
Jan 24, 2018 - Software Developer in Menlo Park, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Flexible work hours and a heavy focus on work-life balance is emphasized. Interesting work to do in a job market that's saturated with less interesting app development and data science jobs. Above average vacation time is a nice perk. The Cosylab US team is great and there's potential to travel to HQ in Slovenia and meet the wonderful group out there. Small team (10ish) currently which is great for a tighter team dynamic and keeping everyone coordinated.
Cons
Smaller team means there's less after work beerventures and outside office activities. Offices are currently at a national lab, so they aren't as flashy as many SV tech companies.

Nothing much to add anything here.
Cons
Flexible working time and work from home means working for extra hours which aren't paid for and all of them mean, company avoids providing office space and make use of your own equipment, utilities and your expenses. Don't expect salary at par with Industry. Middle management is short sighted, short tempered, adhoc change of tasks and responsibilities, puts you under tremendous pressure to deliver something which they aren't clear about and doesn't provide proper training. Recommend to look for better jobs else where.

High-tech IT in science

Exciting project: science, space, proton therapy (curing caner).
Cons
Sometimes rigid organisation. The company was grown by a tight group of people and now, in some places, there is a senior, especially a decision-maker, who maybe shouldn't be there. But everything is sanity-checked and the decision making is generally good.

Pros
After working in many places, in academy/industry/clinic, I rate COSYLAB five stars. From the professional point of view, the projects are innovative (the CEO is a scientist!!), you face a new challenge every day and if you need help with something that is not within your expertise, you are not alone, the teams are interdisciplinary, we are in this together. There are also opportunities for growth your knowledge, I am preparing to go to the ESTRO protontherapy school. I like the transparency (clear goals, clear salary) and like to work with the feeling that the successful of the company is my successful (waiting to hear the report in the periodic X-Goal presentation!). From the point of work/life balance, which is very important for me, I feel motivated by the comfortable workspace, having a place to meet other people, to drink a coffee and to eat free food. If you are a person who like sports, there are many options, also to share with the colleagues, but I prefer body pump and sauna.
Cons
At the moment everything is positive, but keep in mind that I have been in the company less than one year.
