I have been working at Cott full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Friendly laid back environment.

    Cons

    The benefits aren't too great.

    Advice to Management

If you're a lead over a department or shift, you're expected to know how to operate each piece of equipment you oversee. Or at least be trying to learn every machine.

    I worked at Cott full-time

    Pros

There are some good people there but management has a long way to go.

    Cons

Worst job I ever had. Can't think of a more dismal place to work.

    Advice to Management

Little effort to try to expand or develop employees. Try to understand what your employees bring to the table and take advantage of those strengths. Trying to make everyone fit the same mold is never going to get the most out of your employees or make them happy with Cott as a place to work.

    Pros

Great boss, flexible hours, a lot of work but very appreciated

    Cons

More career advancement opportunities would have kept me there.

    Pros

Real opportunity for advancement, and is based on performance. Generous paid time off. Competitive salaries and bonuses. Company pays for continuing professional education. Good monthly training and quarterly outings. Pool table, ping pong, foosball... really, this place is great.

    Cons

The 401k matching contributions are far too low. They only guarantee a match on the first 1%. Another 2% may be matched if certain performance targets are met.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.

I have been working at Cott full-time

    Pros

Pay is decent-more than Fieldbrook but less than Purina

    Cons

Everything else, there's only one pro

    Advice to Management

We do a lot of turning a blind eye, delegating and outright forgetting here-if you don't do something right away, the person who told you to do it is already on their two hour lunch break and will never notice. If we don't want to do something, we just do it wrong because then we won't be asked to do it again-someone else will be given the task. No punishment! Upper management cares about the stupidest things and doesn't apply any of that effort to things like the fact that if any auditor were to drive in they'd fail us based on the thick coating of bird crap in the parking lot.

I worked at Cott full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The only pro is the pay is fair.

    Cons

Building is full of socially ignorant employees.

    Advice to Management

Stop putting up with inappropriate attitudes and behaviors. Starting with the upper management.

    Cons

    No work life balance.

I have been working at Cott full-time

    Pros

Great holiday schedule, generous vacation and personal days. Managers and up get cell phone reimbursed.

    Cons

Low morale, does not treat employees well, no opportunity for advancement.

    Advice to Management

The job itself is good and enjoyable, but there are no true leaders - just managers. They do not work on bettering employees. It is a manufacturing world, and not a lot of room for advancement. Turnover is very high, morale very low.

I worked at Cott full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good to build your skills and know how to work for a bad employer. Cott is definitely the place to do it.

    Cons

How many former employees will say the same thing about this company!

Upper management doesn't know what they're doing!
Upper management screws employees whenever they can!
Upper management can't drive the business forward! They make the wrong decisions.

When will the CEO make the call to change the same old good Ole boy club and get rid of the mess.

All the lower managers are not the problem. Fix the upper management and the company will have a better reputation!!!
