I have been working at CotterWeb Enterprises full-time

    Pros

Flexible, great benefits, understanding leadership team, relaxed culture, great team

    Cons

Slow-moving to innovate, bottleneck in decision makers, slightly sexist and slightly nepotic, closed communication

    Advice to Management

Trust your team and allow them to make decisions; hear their voice in advancing the company. Be bold in decisions and take more risks. We're too calculated which makes the company fall behind compared to our competitors. Be more engaging with employees and members, including both on decisions to advance the product offering.

I worked at CotterWeb Enterprises full-time

    Pros

Great health benefits & flexible work schedule w/ summer hours.

    Cons

Thought I was joining a digital, forward-thinking company and I was wrong: the product isn't innovative nor is the product forward-thinking. The leaders move and adjust at a sloth's pace, not listening to actual challenges the business is facing. Along with that, the culture is sexist, machismo, self-indulgent and arrogant while leaders manage at a micro, micro, micro level. This culture is a culture of CYA, pinning departments against one another and if your strengths are not in technology or analytics, your skills aren't valued. Period, end of discussion. It is an unhealthy company culture with a less than ideal product and I would not recommend anyone working at this company.

    Advice to Management

Value diversity in skills, collaborate cross-departmentally and get off your horse. What worked 5 years ago doesn't work anymore.

I worked at CotterWeb Enterprises full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Most of the people are fun to be around and they have a positive culture. They do some fun after work events - if you're invited.
They have a lot of data and decent data integrity

    Cons

    Their "new" features are dated
    Struggle to retain talent
Some managers play favorites, hope you're not on their team
Office decor is bland at best
Senior Leadership is the CEO's friends from college

    Advice to Management

Apps are not a fad. Make one that works

    Pros

Interesting initiatives, unique business model that serves millions of members, casual work environment, A++ benefits- you won't find better.

    Cons

I really can't think of any.

    Advice to Management

We need to expand internationally beyond England

    Pros

Exciting industry to be in- internet media! Company is results focused and takes an objective, metrics driven approach to problem solving. They also promote GREAT work / life balance and have programs like halfday Fridays during the summer!

    Cons

Well the company is objective and metrics driven- so if you aren't performing, then there's nowhere to hide. The core management team has been there a long time, so there's isn't a lot of room for advancement compared to a large company.

    Advice to Management

Love the projects focused on rewarding InboxDollars members more- keep those coming! It would be nice to get more work from home time too.
