I worked at Cotton Patch Cafe part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There were great opportunities for tips, they provided very good training, and there was an absolutely great staff to work with.

    Cons

There weren't many cons directly with the company. At many times it was difficult to get the amount of hours you wanted because of the number of employees there but that was all.

I have been working at Cotton Patch Cafe full-time

    Pros

The management training program was an extensive 10 weeks but I learned a lot and got a great feel for the culture. There's also many opportunities right now because of more locations opening and people getting in upper level management are promoted from within the company.

    Cons

    Uniforms could use a makeover

I worked at Cotton Patch Cafe full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great hours and money. If you need a flexible job schedule that works around your life outside of work this is the place. They work with your schedule most of the time.

    Cons

Customers are not the happiest at all times. Just gotta have patience with them. Other than that everything else went by pretty smooth.

    Advice to Management

Management is awesome. They are always there to help you when you need them. Sometimes some are new or in training so you have to help them.

    Pros

Very great place to work. 60 hours a week, but the time flew by. Great staff and general manager. Worked for this company for 8+ years. Plenty of potential to move up!

    Cons

Long hours, jerk customers from time to time.

    Advice to Management

Change the 12 hour day to 10 hour days. Very happy overall with this company.

I worked at Cotton Patch Cafe part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They were very flexible with my schedule, and it was a great environment to work with. After a few months of working there, it felt more like a family and I was excited to go to work.

    Cons

We went through 4-5 managers during my two years there, and that was hard to adjust to each time there was a change.

I worked at Cotton Patch Cafe full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Quick turnover with tables due to no alcohol service, great clientele

    Cons

Unstable management constantly trying to run a shift while still under the influence from the night before or sitting in jail due to a domestic assault disturbance, and sexualy verbal towards female employees on an obnoxious uncomfortable level

    Advice to Management

Recommend doing an extensive background check on management new hires from outside of the company rather than going off another managers word of "we've been friends for years, he's good", and not very professional to team them up at the same location.
