    Cons

    Unhealthy Culture No Personal Life Very difficult to take vacation time Managers Steal Your Ideas and take credit for them Adult Bullying by managers then overlooked by HR and leadership HR very disorganized and disengaged Marketing department very elementary making it very difficult to execute or compete in the field.

    Advice to Management

    Give more of a voice to the field staff Take them seriously Time to pull some managers if truly serious about creating a healthier work culture.

    I have been working at Coty full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Lovely office, downtown location, fun brands, investment in your career if you’re worth investing in, not strictly processs driven, ability to influence strategy with creative thinking- not possible at larger more rigid companies, respectful culture

    Cons

    The merger was rough on a lot of people as mergers tend to be. This is why there are so many negative reviews during that time frame and high turnover. Although most of this pain is over after 2.5 years there is still workload inequality and an issue with not hiring experienced people in important roles to save a buck.

    Advice to Management

    Hire experienced candidates who cost a bit more but know what they’re doing and it’ll avoid this cycle of turnover.

    Pros

    A lot of samples and products given for free to the teams + $1000 of product per year

    Cons

    The company is not advanced in terms of technology and software, which result in a lot of heavy and manual processes.

    Advice to Management

    Invest in tech! Especially software like Salesforce or similar, it will help with product names and codes and logistic.

    Pros

    Great products, a lot of free products for employees. Downtown location also makes for an easier commute. An inspiring GM who takes the time to get to know all employees and also is a true leader and innovator!

    Cons

    While the GM is a great leader, this trait unfortunately doesn’t pass down to some other senior leaders. Egos, an unwillingness to listen to employees and ‘catty attitudes’ have become the new norm. Instead of leading, senior management morphed to dictators who didn’t empower employees but rather made it known it was their way or the high way while rewarding unacceptable behaviour.
