I worked at Coty full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Generally decent resources i.e. Budget, technology, training etc. Can however be quite corporate for corporates sake (many initiatives are clearly right out of a Harvard business review vs. built on true needs of an employee)

    Cons

Constant change and upheaval. Lack of strategic direction. Middle management is inadequate and therefore Senior management gets involved in decisions they shouldn't need to = too many cooks in the kitchen. No discernible culture expect for an every man for himself mentality.

    Advice to Management

Drive stability....pick a direction and go there.

    I worked at Coty full-time

    Pros

Great brands. Global company. Lots of marketing resources. Good training for entry level.

    Cons

Lack of strategy. Too much complexity. Culture encourages bullying--not performance. Not a real beauty company. An imposter.

    Advice to Management

Learn to be respectful of employees. Learn to focus on key brands. Learn the beauty industry. Stop trying to commoditize the category.

I have been working at Coty full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good work life balance and flexibility. Fair base pay. Very nice office space in NY. Many nice coworkers trying to please the leadership.

    Cons

Communication is not very good. Upper management doesn't seem to care about employees and seems like they want people to quit.

    Advice to Management

Show the employees that you value what they are doing and actually want them to be here

I worked at Coty full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great office location, clean and bright office setup, and free drinks. Amazing brands to be proud of.

    Cons

P&G Merger drastically changed the culture and the organization of the teams. Management does not care about anybody else but the Top 500. Seniority plays a big role in everything.

I worked at Coty full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great pay and benefits. Health and Wellness program and incentives for employees. Company acknowledges employees for great work by giving product bags twice a year. Great safety record. Phenomenal HR team that cares for employees.

    Cons

Not the best leadership team especially the Senior Leadership in the Sanford site. A lot of turnover amongst the Senior Leaders and managers every 1-3 years there are new faces. Do not promote from within, go external to fill jobs. No trust in internal candidates and no development. There is wide range favoritism between managers some follow rules and some don't!

    Advice to Management

Respect your employees more and listen to them as they are the true subject matter experts.

I have been working at Coty full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There are no pros for this company besides pay.

    Cons

This is a cliquish company with no emphasis on team work. They work their employees 6-7 a week 10-12 hours at a time with no recognition. Leadership is very poor with communication at the top. Favoritism is rampant along with gossip and drama. Instead of finding root causes they play the blame game. No sense of team work toward a common goal. I do not advise anyone to work here. They treat the temps like slaves.

    Advice to Management

Cut the drama, be fair, recognize the common goal and work toward it. Communicate!
