    Pros

    Pay and benefits are competitive.

    Cons

Management at Hunt Valley is stuck in a Procter & Gamble mindset which is not good since CoverGirl has now been acquired by Coty. Management will not invest in resources to develop your skills or to work with you. Either you are exactly what they are looking for or they will terminate you and will justify it by calling the environment "sink or swim." Reasons for my own termination after relocating over 400 miles and spending $5,000 to move back after five weeks of employment included: lack of energy and engagement-things they said that could not be taught. They said they had made a mistake in hiring me after a personality test, two technical tests, a phone interview, and an onsite interview and wished me on my merry way. Operators are rarely listened to and the management does what it wants. Turnover at the plant has been high for engineers as they are expected to do an increasingly large amount of work. Expect to work at least 50 hours a week. The future for the company is also uncertain due to Coty having a reputation of buying and selling company's, leaving the future of the plants in Maryland who have had only two owners in their long history somewhat in jeopardy. Please stay away if you're ever approached for a job in Maryland by this company.

I have been working at Coty full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good company with lots of growth opportunities. Great team of people.

    Cons

Not always the best at valuing and growing people. I'm concerned about the heavy attention on acquisition and hope the company will focus on the core business.

    Advice to Management

Please build and execute on strong training and development programs. Provide a consistent, worthwhile bonus plan to reward employees'. Focus on strengthening the core business.

I worked at Coty full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They have great holidays off. Great group of people. They thank their employees often and buy lunch for the employees. From time to time give employees goody bags at company parties. They offer good benefits to their employees. They celebrate employee birthdays every month.

    Cons

Raises are small. Only cents are given. They do not change your job title as your skill level grows. They kept the same title for me the whole time I was there and they never review your skills and offer proper job titles.

    Advice to Management

    Give your employees a chance

I have been working at Coty full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

None. And everyone keeps leaving. What a disgrace. Summer Fridays are great. And senior management is overseas so you don't have to kiss up everyday.

    Cons

No salary increase. No bonus. No incentive. HR uses terms like axe instead of asks and mines instead of mine.

    Advice to Management

If you want to attract talent or even retain anyone who is good, pay properly. Not just the EC to top 40.

I worked at Coty full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The pay is higher than other beauty companies.

    Cons

I worked at COTY for almost 3 years, I was already doing Manager work and was never promoted. My manager, was condescending and I never felt like my work was appreciated or that I was truly a team member. Work life balance is non-existent. You will not receive a deserving bonus or raise. After the merger, things worsened and that was when/why I left. Power trips are not welcoming on any team!

    Advice to Management

Appreciate your team and your talent.
