I have been working at Coty full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great portfolio of products which include top rated fragrances, Philosophy, Nail care products. Good benefits and vacation package.

    Cons

Ever since the P&G integration, the company has done a downward spiral. Great people have left the company and are not bring properly replaced. The workload is spread out to those who remain. The stress level is at an all time high. Employees are expected to work unrealistic hours. Saturday and Sunday conference calls are now normal and accepted. If you enjoy back to back conference...

    Advice to Management

Quit trying to force the European business model on USA locations. The open office is loud and distracting. Overhearing the many loud conference calls going on around you, is not conducive to a thriving and healthy work place. Move back to the old Coty business model before we became “Beauty liberated”

I have been working at Coty full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Time off during the summer since it now an EU company nothing gets done.

    Cons

After the merger this company has completely fallen apart. They have now respected for the current Coty employees especially if they are from the US. They are trying to transform into P&G except they took on the failing parts of the business. If you work through the New York office it is now 65% people from the EU. Coty is turning into one of the worst company's to work...

I worked at Coty full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great office location, clean and bright office setup, and free drinks. Amazing brands to be proud of.

    Cons

P&G Merger drastically changed the culture and the organization of the teams. Management does not care about anybody else but the Top 500. Seniority plays a big role in everything.

I worked at Coty full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good Salary, time off, flex schedule

    Cons

Everything else. I was hired right before the merger and was told that my position would probably change so don't get too comfortable. I quite literally did nothing until after the merger when they told us that our department would be consolidated with the P&G team. After that I spent most of my time looking for a new job. I suspect that they hired me to reserve the headcount...

I worked at Coty full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

A good company with entrepreneurial spirit. Great benefits and fun place to work depending on which group you are in.

    Cons

After P&G integration, what made Coty great has changed. Lots of great potential but overall vision and goal not very clear.

    Advice to Management

Try to maintain the Coty Culture as much as possible.

I have been working at Coty full-time for more than a year

    Pros

401K match up to 6% after 90 days of employment, immediate health benefits, office closed the week of Christmas, 7 Fridays to take off in the summer, 1-2 floating holidays per year, unlimited sick days. 60% discount on products in the company store.

    Cons

Lean organization with limited opportunity for promotion. Lots of nepotism with regard to the hiring process. Those that are promoted are usually those that are "yes men" to their managers/directors. I find that there is not a true spirit of collaboration and have heard team members speak poorly of others behind their backs many times and witnesses one incident where a group actively tried to get others fired by strategizing...

    Advice to Management

Rethink all the meetings that currently happen (especially as many result in no decisions being made) so the brand teams can focus on running the business. Not having a holiday party following the merger with the P&G brands was a HUGE miss from a morale standpoint as it would have enabled us to get to know one another better. Re-evalute internal talent down to the Manager level as there are some Managers that should...

I have been working at Coty full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Lovely office & central location. Peer group were great to work with. Senior management attempts to make the office a fun place to work after the continual mass exodus of employee.

    Cons

Non existent career path. Even HR is still working out how career planning should look like in the new Coty after the merger - if you are looking for a career rather than a job then this is really not the place for you. The management team is now trying to re define the new culture after the merger - a little too late given most legacy Coty and P&G employee have now left the...

I worked at Coty full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Office location - full of shops/restaurants/bars Office - bright, modern, good communal kitchen for lunch , rooftop area for sunny days Great group of colleagues

    Cons

Inexperienced Management - the best talent in the leadership team have either left or handed their notices in. Others who remain need to seriously sort their management approach out - serious skills are lacking and training is required on what a manager is and how to support a team. Start communicating with your teams... no feedback, no encouragement, no reward and recognition. Benefits - standard benefits vs other...

    Advice to Management

COTY was once a great place to work. It seems to have all fallen apart since the merger with morale is at an all time low. Start acting like you care when some of the best talent are leaving, there is only so far staff that remaining can be stretched. Too many promises with no action. Perception that people are bottom of the priority list. Keep staff motivated, happy and valued and they might actualy stay....

I have been working at Coty full-time for less than a year

    Pros

A mid size multinational with attractive list of beauty brands Ambitious business goal to become "a leader in Beauty" Broad global footprint with options to relocate Reasonable benefits package.

    Cons

No strategy in place to achieve the goals. In fact, no concept of strategy. The main focus is to save costs, no matter what the impact on the business. HR policies and tools mediocre. No way to anticipate or plan career progression. Fire and hire tactics.
