    Pros

    Summer Fridays and holiday shutdown

    Cons

Bullying. Leadership knows it’s rampant and pretends not to notice. The behavior is encouraged and those who bully move ahead with zero accountability. If you’re unfortunate enough to be subject to it yet bring it to leadership, you’ll wish you hadn’t. You’ll be met with condescending laughter or be reminded to merely accept “that’s how some people act”. The known and accepted practice of bullying of females by white...

    Pros

    Summer Fridays, Holiday shutdown, campus

    Cons

Favoritism within the department. People getting their way up by giving special favors to their higher up. Unfair/biased pay. There are no “values” in this company. Ran like a start up company with absolutely no organization or signs of improvement.

    Advice to Management

Value your current employees. Remove those leaders who are biased and discriminate. I’d like to see HR respond to this review and not only where they see some type of compliment.

I have been working at Coty full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Beautiful office in Calabasas. Great portfolio of brands for those interested in beauty, specifically in the salon professional category. 1/2 day Summer Fridays and several paid vacation days.

    Cons

Horrible options for digital asset management. I cannot believe we are going back to Sharepoint vs. something more efficient like Box or Dropbox. The hierarchical culture. Sub par employees managing to fail forward. Lack of passion or enthusiasm for the professionals we are supposed to serve. Corporate processes that make us followers vs. first to market. Managers that have conversation amnesia. HR doesn’t look out for...

    Advice to Management

If we are supposed to win in digital, equip us with better digital systems not 17 year old software. Promote employees on merit not on politics. This is a passion driven industry (both hair and nail), but it got lost somewhere in the merger and move. Re-build this and the teams will have a deeper sense of purpose and probably inspire them to think of the next best thing.

    Pros

Good brands. Lots of vacation/time off (Summer Fridays, week between Xmas and NYE off, PTO, and sick time, federal holidays). Most people are really nice. Good benefits

    Cons

Losing a lot of contract brands. Management doesn't really care. Minimal to no training on systems

    Pros

Great place for RB alums and bullies alike. Pay is average. Benefits could be worse. Allowed to take off 7 summer Fridays and the week between Christmas and New Year's.

    Cons

To say the culture at Coty is toxic implies that there is a culture to begin with. What exists at Coty is more akin to tribalism. It is a ruthless inconsistent system of "blame and shame" that rewards backstabbing and gossip while punishing new ways of thinking. Whoever shows the most blind loyalty and obedience is given promotions. This is why most of us left RB in the first place. It is scary to see it resurface here....

    Advice to Management

Stop treating employees like they should be thankful they have the privilege of being in your presence. Stop losing your MVPs! You have amazingly talented people, they're just in the wrong roles. Let them explore opportunities that fit their likes/dislikes and foster their career aspirations. Trade marketing is not for everyone so stop shoving square pegs into circular holes. Focus on retention. Filling gaps on my...

    Pros

Nothing special compared to other places but the Summer Fridays are nice. The culture used to be decent but it is very different now.

    Cons

Senior Management is not doing a good job. A lot of buzzwords flying around but nothing to really help us or our middle management navigate the changes they want to make. Morale is bad...periodic 'pep rallies' are transparently shallow and insincere. Good long time employees are leaving or being forced out. A lot of unkept promises. No strategic vision or guidance by senior leadership...at least nothing useful is shared...

    Advice to Management

Old isn't bad. New isn't always good. Senior management needs to develop reasonable expectations about how fast everything can be fixed in the midst of total chaos because right now they are not in touch with boots on the ground reality here! Appreciate and care for the talent you have. Focusing only on grooming future leaders and new talent acquisition while ignoring the current experienced people and respected leaders...
